Why this is a big game for CeeDee Lamb as well as Gallup

As well as being a big game for Gallup, this is a potentially career defining match coming for CeeDee. This is a chance for CeeDee to show why he should be a number 1 WR and be the person that the Cowboys trust to take the markings that Coop usually gets. Let's see what he does on Sunday.

They should change the rules to make it more fair. Winning should depend on those attributes that we learn from the game like teamwork, commitment, overcoming adversity.......the outcome of a game shouldn't be determined by a random event that puts one team at a disadvantage.

Here is the new rule I would like to suggest.

If a player is out due to protocol then the corresponding player at that same position for the opponent should also be disqualified. That would make it fair to the teams and their fans.

If our kicker is out then their kicker must also be out. If our backup middle linebacker is out then their backup middle linebacker sits out.

Which means in this case............

Tyreek Hill would not be allowed to suit up.

Now, that's fair isn't it? Seems absolutely fair to me.

He'll be fine....Coop is a stud, but teams haven't been ignoring Lamb.
Yeah, I honestly believe that the WR’s will be fine with Lamb, Gallup, Wilson, and Brown. I don’t think they’ll miss a beat.

That offense is a machine that is so efficient that missing one guy won’t really effect it. It even functioned pretty well with Dak out.

Life does not work that way and would be a ridiculous rule.

I’d still like Lamb in the slot for several plays. I’m not sure if Wilson has played or will play on the outside much.???

Has he?

These are professional football players. They don't fret like the fans. Dallas has talented players to offset any deficiencies left by Cooper. Just catch the ball when thrown in your direction!

One player should not have this offense shook. They won in Minnesota without their starting QB. They are paid professional football players; they should play accordingly.

A little overdramatic. CeeDee is clearly in the minds of opposing DCs with or without Cooper. If he plays great or struggles it's really just another week and doesn't foreshadow anything long term. A little bit of an issue for Gallup and to a lesser extent Wilson as the team may need to make a Gallup vs Cooper decision in the offseason which also impacts Wilson. Just saw from Patrick Denver got a 3 year deal worth a max of over $11M per. Gallup is better. We can't afford to give a big deal to Gallup and retain Cooper while we have a stud like CeeDee on the team in a cap world with our other weaknesses. Need to make the hard decisions somewhere...

Not really. Lamb has already shown that he IS the #1 WR. One week wont change that either way.

However I fully expect him to go off. Dak looks for him and he gets open.

We didn't miss Gallup and we won't miss Cooper....we have good depth at that position
Oh we’ll miss him. That’s a given. But, we do have sufficient depth and talent to be able to adjust. But make no mistake, KC is very glad that he’s out.

It's also why "trade Gallup" at the trade deadline was a bad idea. Next season is next season. WR depth is important, and we'll need it now.
From a GM's standpoint, if you have a lot of good receivers, trading a WR for a player of need is good business, if all is well.
However, injuries pop up like weeds after a rainstorm. Can't have enough depth. Same for the Oline.
