Seriously I've always been neutral on the Prescott arguments....but how do you not cut the guy some slack?

How in the world was he supposed to excel under Garrett?

I know it's a bit strange to ask for patience with the guy considering the contract etc....but he was seriously held back by Garrett. Surprised he wasn't fully ruined.

He isnt Aaron Rodgers who can carry a team by himself, but we can win with him....or at least have a chance.

Things could be a lot worse.

Sounds like he only lasted there as long as he did because he had sucked up to the Mara's.

For those defending Garrett- and you are but will not admit it- apparently NOTHING will ever convince you that he plain stinks.

Watching the game last night they showed Garrett and Daniel Jones sitting together. Garrett was explaining something to him and it appeared Jones turned away and ignored him. Garrett gave him a strange look and got his attention again. Looked to be some tension going on between them.

Tony did pretty good under Garrett. So did Dak. Though it seems to be clear its a case of Dak and Tony doing well IN SPITE OF GARRETT.

Garrett spelled his own doom when he said a few days ago that it would take some time to rebuild.

He probably was speaking the truth trying to save himself. But to no avail.
He was spewing that "process" crap when he took over a team that won a playoff game ten months earlier.

Jerry bought right on into the fancy words and doubled down on dumb many times over.

“Don’t see” or don’t want to see?

In either case, here you go.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/nyg/2021.htm

They were 18th in offensive points scored the year prior to Garrett and 31st last year and 25th this year. And they ranked dead last in red zone scoring. It’s all there to see.

I'm not saying he should not have been fired but NY was a lousy team before he got there and will be a lousy team now that he has been fired. NY front office and scouting has not been good. That team has little talent on it and so saying they got worse fine but were not good to begin with. If this thread is to jump on Garrett have at it but being realistic, NY problems go well beyond Jason Garrett and likely beyond the next OC, DC and HC they hire.

Watch Jerry bring him back as OC if Moore leaves for a head coaching job next season. Lol

Romos play kept Garrett here longer than he should have been.

It was just a mess any way it's looked at.

There's only one man responsible and I think most of us realize that if we ever do actually win, it'll be despite of Jerry Jones...not because of him.

They probably figured they were going to lose him to the head coach carousel in a month or so anyway and wanted a head start on finding his replacement.

He left them better than he found them.

Yes and have said I have no issue with him being fired, I don't think Garrett is the reason for NY failure since they were failures before he got there and I suspect things are not going to change until NY does a better job of bringing talent to that team.
