Our team can win the Super Bowl if the O line plays up to it’s potential

The bad news: 27 pressures allowed by our O line vs KC was pathetic and historically bad. The running game was also stymied vs KC.

The good news: This O line helped Dak pass for the most yards ever vs a Belicheat defense. We were #2 in the league in yards rushing. The potential to be very good vs playoff caliber teams is there.

The analysis: Connor McCovern, La’el Collins and Biadaz should improve with more games played. Tyron Smith should solidify the most important O line position, LT. Steele and Williams are solid backups who are capable of starting. Tyron Smith’s ability to stay healthy, and available, is the key to our O line playing up to it’s potential. Our O line doesn’t need to be great, just good. Why? See below.

By the end of the season, when and if healthy, I believe our D will have the potential to shut down the best offenses in the NFL( 14 points per game or LESS)!

Historically, the best Super Bowl winning defenses, had a dominant pass rush( 85 Bears, Steelers of the 70’s, Randy White lead Cowboys, Charles Haley lead Cowboys, Giant teams that beat Brady twice, Denver over Carolina, Seattle over Payton Manning and the Colts).

We could have Parsons( rush from anywhere) and Gregory rushing from the edges with Lawrence and Gallimore/ OSA rushing from the interior!!! Man that is going to be fun to watch!! Can you say POTENTIAL to wreak HAVOC!! All our CB’s are turning into play makers with Diggs showing the way.

FINALLY, I love our coaching staff! Coaching matters a lot. Good Coaches put players in positions, so it is easier to make plays! Our coaches consistently do that. O line still has to execute though.

Can the O line play up to it’s potential? That is my biggest concern.

EVERY QB that has ever played would have struggled being pressured 27 times. You don’t get that? Oh, I forgot your a Dak hater. Now I understand. Dak is supposed to be Superman, even with no blocking, because he makes lots of money.

Enough already!!!!
All you're doing here with your massive DAK CRUSH is posting lengthy theories and excuses so the masses here look away from the real issue......Daks ineptness against teams that have good defenses!!!
Dude,
he couldn't even score a TD OMG......
LET IT BE JEEZ.......He is paid a zillion cap dollars and we are getting 10 cents on the dollar, performance-wise!!!

I am realistic when it comes to Dak. If he deserves criticism I will give it to him.

Regarding Dak’s ineptness vs good defenses. Do you have a short memory or selective memory? I’d say selective. Anything Dak does positive is selectively wiped from your memory. This makes people with a few facts make you sound ridiculous. Dak played excellent this year vs Tampa Bay and NE. Two of the best defenses in football. He played excellent, in big part, because his offensive line pass blocked excellently, though the running blocking was poor.

Sounds a bit like Romo. He wasn't the choker some made out to be.

If putting pressure on the QB is not important then why do teams pay DE's 20 million a year.

Pressure causes bad and errant throws. That is a fact. When the offensive line plays a good game Dak usually plays a good game also. Those two things aren't mutually exclusive, but they do correlate. Any one saying this is not true, are just being blinded by their own irrational train of thought.

Dak has been off in two games this year. If this team fails to put up 20 points it's probably because Dak was off. The QB position is the one position all teams rely on to turn drives into points, for the most part. If you do the math to put things in perspective, Dak has been off in two of our ten games. So his play has been 80% positive and 20% negative.

lmao, no way dak can be elite with one offensive down. Sheesh, why don't the NFL make the defense call out what coverage they are playing so slow reader as dak can produce? sheesh the NFL needs to look into this in the off-season. this crap isn't fair.

or at least make them count to 5 Mississippi before they rush dak. the NFL sucks.

With Kellen Moore's play calling, this offense will get out-coached in the post season .

First, it was Linehan.
Now it's Moore.

Not even Lombardi or Landry can make Dak an elite QB!

I said it after draft day and I will say it again. We will go how the line goes PERIOD. We chose 2 ignore Tyron Smiths injury history/missed games. It was foolish THEN and may prove to be the death knell now.. Dak running for his life can only doom this team.

the first team in the playoff that pressures dak and hides what their defense will be running on each play will make dak pout again on the bench. looks like it would be a good pick to pick up our kicker in fantasy football. he will be putting up big points.

agree. With an oline a mess on the left side, why in the world wouldn't u try to run the ball more? The KC game was example 1. We abandoned the run. Thats the knock I have on Moore.
