Any tips ? This is my first Dallas game in my life. My military kid came 2 visit and we are going to the game. How early should we get there? What should we expect for parking etc etc.?

Congrats on going to see your 1st game?

Do you have a parking pass to any of the lots. Or just trying to find a place to and pay as you get there. That I have no idea about. As I had a parking pass.

You can go online to one of they ticket places and purchase a parking pass separately. Standard price is $75. So some will try to gouge the price. If you wait until a few hors before the game, you may get a better price.
If you are planning to look for a random lot, then I would say get there a good 2 hours before KO.

However I have not been to a game in 6 years.

Sounds awesome!! I am not crazy about giving Jerry money but going to see the Cowboys on Thanksgiving would be a cool event for sure!!! I'd say, get there early and just soak it all in. I am kinda jelly!!

If it’s your first time, get there at least an hour-and a half maybe to two hours early to check things out and soak in the experience. It is a pretty neat place. The stadium reminds me of a shopping mall honestly but it’s a neat environment. If your not local, I would get a parking pass. They are expensive but there are cash lots around too that are cheaper but require more walking. Parking and traffic can be crazy, so definitely give yourself time to get there.

I really like the food there as well…especially the cheesesteaks. They have just about everything. Hope you enjoy and have fun.

Win or loss...enjoy your time spent with your family. Hopefully the Cowboys don't ruin your time but its going to be a fine experience regardless. Never been to a game on Thanksgiving....

enjoy it...I think at least 2-2.5 hours before. its going to be packed. long lines. parking. etc. and then getting inside and situated, having a couple of beers and some food....settle in and enjoy. I took my boys a couple of years ago and that's about what it took. where are your seats?

I always head to the stadium about halftime of the Det game. As for parking, myself I always part over by the old Rangers stadium and walk over to AT@T. Last year was unable to attend which was the 1st Thanksgiving game I did not go to in the last 30 years. Will not be able to attend this year unfortunately. But hoping to return next season.

Unsure but all I know is the seats are nosebleeds. Son purchased them. They were pricey.

gonna just pay when I get there I guess.

There are some restaurants, if they are still doing it. In Lincoln Square off of Collins, West of the stadium, and a few more up the road, near I-30. If you don't mind a little bit of a walk, but really not too far.
If you spend like $40 in food in there, you can park your car in their lot for the game. Not sure how it really works, if they give you a sticker or something.
Some used to have a shuttle bus, but I have no idea if they still do.

And the food is a hell of a lot cheaper than at the stadium.
I usually ate something at home before I left, or we stopped on the way, then ate in the parking lot.

Could leave as late as 40 minutes before KO, get to the parking lot, but since I parked in handicap, they would give us a ride on one of their golf cart type rides to the entry gate.
Then but the time we got a beer, or sometimes I just got a Dr. Pepper for $5 and lasted me until the 3rd quarter, then got to our seats, it was just in time for KO.
I left a few times as late as 20 minutes before KO.
We walked back to the car after the game though, it was quicker. As to where I had to go to get that ride back to the parking lot, the pick up point was in the opposite direction, and the had to wait at times. It really was about a 5 minute walk, as we walked to the gate at times as well. It depended on how my ankles and feet were feeling.
