Get new OL strategies immediately. Stop sticking to old formulas.

Id love to get some all 22 footage.

People are blaming the OL and saying things like they aren’t getting push.

Id like to see how much of it is failed blocking vs just bad plays or plays are easily able to be defended.

1.) Go watch last years Super Bowl. Mahomes looked very ordinary and as a result Andy Reid went all in on the OL in free agency this year.
2.) I haven't heard anyone say Dak is as good as Rodgers but Rodgers needs a running game too. In his two losses to the Saints and Vikings the packers had rushing totals of 43 yards and 95 yards.
3.) This whole offensive slide started when they benched Conner Williams before the Chiefs game.
4.) Here are Dak's and "The GOAT" Tom Brady's stats versus The Football Team
22/39 23/34
211 220 yards
1 TD 2 TD
2 INTs 2 INTs

OL needs to be heavily addressed in the off-season, I would hope through both the draft and free agency.

I am a die hard fan for over 50 years. I played high school football and a little in college until I hurt my right knee.

I have a tremendous natural memory bank of Cowboys' teams. My memory never fails me.

I do not care about offensive statistics, as the intelligent people know you can do anything you want with them. A running back who averages 3.2 yards a carry has one run for 55 yards and all of a sudden his average is 4.2. A QB whose teams fall behind by two TD's who wakes up late in the game when the opposing team lets up, puts up big numbers in garbage time and pads his stats.

Here is what I see: a horrible offensive line, not opening holes to give Zeke a chance to get to the second level. Time after time, I see every defense rise to the occsion and stop our running game. It all starts upfront. Our OL is terrible right now.

You all remember Demarco Murray's huge year? Huge holes as wide as a soccer goal net. Romo having 4-5 seconds and sometimes more to find an open receiver. That was a true great OL.

The OL today does not give the Boys a reliable runing game. It is not Zeke's fault. Without the threat of a succesful running game, opposing teams are able to concentrate on defending the pass. That is where Dak's less than stellar QB skills are exposed. He is no Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers does not need a running game. He is better than Brett Favre.

Dak fails so often, it makes me sick. He has some streaks when he is hot, but that is when his OL is dominating. A QB must raise his team, carry his team. Dak cannot do that. He is missing that QB talent. Rodgers has it and is light years better than Dak.

Dak needs to run for first downs. His ankle is stronger than before.

Joe Philbin is the OL coach. He is doing a terrible job. He has no recipe for improving the OL performance. The talent on the OL tells me that it may be the coaching and strategies used are poor.

My eyes see a frightening future this year. There is no chance the Cowboys can beat Green Bay in Green Bay. They have an awesome offensive line, less heralded and less talented than we have, and they are dominating, creating a tremendous running game which can dominate from the start to finish, and close out games. We need an OL performance like Green Bay has right now to be a championship team. If we play them in the playoffs in the cold and wind, it wil be the better OL that prevails. Ours is simply not giving Zeke space. Pollard's superior burst gives us a much better chance, but he is not built for 20+ carries a game.

If the OL of ours can find a way to change their ways and dominate once again, Dak can shine with his less than stellar QB skills. Right now, I see a declined performance in the running game due to the lack of offensive line success.

Without Parsons and Diggs on defense, this team would be 4-9. We were deceived by early succeses offensively this year. The rest of the NFL has shut down our running game and Philbin is clueless what to do. Tom Landry and Jimmy Johnson were brilliant strategists who knew how to counter other teams' adjustments. The current coaching staff remains dumfounded.

If we play the Rams, their menacing DL will probably shut down our running game.

We need a Travis Frederick, Nate Newton, Larry Allen, Erik Wiliams' types who would knock down two defenderss, creating huge running lanes. We need our running game badly to enable Dak to be better, to have any chance to beat the Packers and Rams.

That is why he was not drafted higher. The Boys actually tried to draft several other QB's before they settled on him at the end of the 4th round.
So, Dak sucks? That's all you had to say....

A lot of folks here think they "see" more than they do. You're making the simplest of judgments, basically saying Dak and the line suck. They didn't in September, so what changed? They all forgot how to play football?

I played high school football. I don't presume for one second to understand defensive schemes used at the NFL level. It's apparent teams are defending the Cowboys differently than earlier in the season. So far, the the Cowboys have failed to effectively counter that approach. That's what coaches are paid to do.

When Philbin was hired I said I didn't like it.

I agree. The OL coach has done a terrible job.

I see a quarterback that is playing lousy for a myriad of reasons and a running back that is hurt and doesn’t even attempt to break anything outside unless it is wide open.

The timing for the offense couldn’t be worse right now for all this crap to happen. But I must say it is exciting to see a resemblance of a true playoff caliber defense taking shape.

Things are getting really interesting in Big D. We’ll soon find out who they really are.

I don't get why people are thinking GB is anything special in the NFC. There's a clear top five teams in the NFC and GB is one of them, as are we. We score 4 more points per game, give up 1 more point per game, and they have one more win than us. Yes they're good, but they aren't the clear cut best in conference.

Top QB plus an OL that is allowed to hold on every down with impunity. The league's wet dream is engineering an Aaron Rogers vs Patrick Mahomes Superbowl.

I know what my eyes see too, and it is predictable play calling... not as hard to shut it down when you know it's coming. OL can be helped by a good screen game (which we don't have), or runs called (and designed) to go outside the tackles...

We've had a couple weeks of Covid cases, injuries, and Oline musical chairs. That is going to affect your offense. If they can just get back into rhythm and stick to an Oline plan, I believe this offense can get rolling. We've seen what they're capable of.

Couple that with our defense now getting healthy and playing together, and well, I think we have plenty of reason to believe we could beat the "all mighty" Packers. Besides, we owe them.:D

Let's roll! :flagwave:

What a lame rant of a thread.

Dak sucks! Dak sucks! Dak sucks as a QB!

No, this opening post sucks. It's nothing but a rant.

Agree on the Oline. That's the main problem affecting both our run and pass.

Aaron Rodgers is a god!! Pfft, whatever. I bet he would struggle just as bad behind this Cowboys Oline.

i like our chances with this defense.
our run game needs to be better.
but we've not gone into the post-season with a defense like this...generating a consistent pass rush and take aways.

rodgers is 0-4 in nfc title games since his lone super bowl win.
despite the medias whorish love affair...the mighty rodgers is not unbeatable.

Thanks for taking the time to write but one thing…GB does not have a great Oline. They literally are about to run out the very last backups they have. They are destroyed. What they do have is LeFleur and Rodgers. That’s what it amounts to. LeFleur doesn’t get credit for 3 13 win teams because of Rodgers but he was a hot commodity I wanted years ago. They game plan with their QB. But they are not invincible. Agree our Oline snd run game is anemic
