Micah Parsons Should Be DPOY

Watt has more sacks, but that's all he does, he doesn't impact the game anywhere else. He had 1 whole tackle yesterday and zero QB hits. That's it. One tackle.

Garrett is the same as Watt. All they do is rush the QB. Watt has 54 tackles 17.5 sacks and Garrett has 31 and 15 sacks.

Parsons has 79 tackles and 13 sacks while being a part time pass rusher and the goes 30 yards down field to break up passes.

How can anybody look at DPOY and not think that Parsons is the clear choice?

They go off sacks and stats. That’s why he won’t win it.

Because Parsons is a vastly better player, both in total and at their respective positions, than Diggs.

Strictly edge players don't rack up a lot of tackles. I mean, do you think Gregory doesn't have much of an impact cause he only has 12 tackles with his 6 sacks or do you see the impact he has on the field that may not show up on the basic stat numbers?

Parsons could be closer to Watt in sack numbers if they just played him at edge but they have him over the field at LB/Edge where he may not rush as much but can get more tackles.

Having 13 sacks while only rushing the passer about half the time is crazy good.

Also,

I'm not a fan at all of leaving Parsons on the sideline for entire series.

The only TD Washington scored last night outside of garbage time was on a drive that Parsons didn't play a single snap on.

He's got a shot if he finishes strong. The more comparisons he gets to LT, the more likely voters will look to justify those comparisons.

Noth players have been amazing but who the heck gets that many interceptions nowadays?
