I'm listening now on the radio, Broaddus is questioning Dak's ability to "process" quickly enough against disguised looks. Said he's playing slow because of these new looks defenses are giving him. Says he's only letting it rip when there's a "free play" on an offside. Otherwise, he's playing slow.

This is the dirty secret of our offense for the last 2 months. Dak's brain is letting him (and the team) down. He is playing slow because he's processing slow. Read Amari's quote below, "play fast". Read between the lines...he's talking about Dak.

But his video from 2 weeks back was claiming the issues were WRs dropping his passes….

I've been saying that forever. He's a slow processor. And slow twitch muscles.

Yes denver had a blueprint and dak has failed to adjust to it. Especially when defenses are showing that blitz look, when they come he's fine. When they back out of it is when he gets confused. It is why I for the life of me don't understand why he doesn't use his legs more. Keep the defense honest.

When he used his legs today we moved the ball. Other than the one fumble (where nobody was open, and a great play by the defender)

Also when were getting 1 yard on first down runs it gives dak it puts a lot of pressure on him on 2nd-3rd downs to make plays

I think that the scripted plays have to go well for him so his confidence is high for the rest of the game.

If he struggles with the scripted plays, he turns conservative and won’t shake out the funk until the urgency to win the game presents itself.

now???

he is the same qb now as he was in 2016 lol

excipt now he also can't or won't run so that is fun
His IQ is fine, but he does process defenses slowly.... always has.

He didn't read defenses at all in 2016, so that's not a good example.
Relatively speaking, he's way better at it now than 5 years ago.

Lmao imagine being told your brain is gonna hold the team back? Only our Cowboys

I don’t think it’s his IQ.

I just think it’s his nature to play that brand of football.

He came into the league playing a safe brand of football and he doesn’t throw guys open. He sees them open and then releases.

That’s why he’s not accurate.. He is accurate on his first or second read, but when he needs to anticipate, he is awful and all over the place. What obfuscates perception statistically is, he takes the check-down way too much, not being able to go through his reads at a proper pace. So his completion percentage doesn’t suffer and he looks better on paper than he actually is…
