I hear some are worried about us against the 49ers because they just went on a 7-2 run and are believed to have this amazing rush offense which is 9th in the league. Eagles are 1st and yes I know we didn't play Jalen hurts and we were up right away so they had to pass.
So there's your answer.
Get up on these guys early and force Jimmy to throw.
I like this matchup better than Arizona (home) or the Rams (road and refs, even though they just lost to the 9er's)
Defense: Let #1 1 got after Jimmy on obvious passing downs and play the run first and foremost. We know they want to establish the run and then play action and keep our dynamic pass rush from pinning their ears back. Make them 1 dimensional. Diggs on Deebo Samuel is a big gamble for them and that's the beauty of it. Put Neal on Kittle all game. That's his job, George Kittle. Let Micah play the run and go after the QB. Don't even divert from that. If Kittle is rocking Neal's world then give him safety help immediately. LVE is LVE and he has to pick up whatever slack sideline to sideline, that's his job. I really like our defense against their offense and our first order of business should be that we take care of the run first.
Offense: I like our offense against their defense and I believe our tackles can take care of their DE's which is the strength of their defense. Their DT's measure up perfectly against our suspect C and LG and I like that it's a wash. I like Martin and Laél working the right side and banging on Bosa to slow his wheels down as an early important point of emphasis. Our WR group and TE's should be effective. The 9er's know the Rams 5-0 against them, like we know our division and are built specifically for their division. Don't sweat them beating the Rams.
We're at home and the refs should be as fair as we can imagine in this playoff game. We don't have to worry about the short week because it hurts them more playing later and travelling to us. They also had to brawl out a long divisional, playoff caliber game tonight while we just did some winter temperature warm-up practice in our game. Jimmy is the worst of all the QB's in the NFC playoffs and he's playing injured. We keep the penalties down and don't lose the turnover battle and we should have this.
Our whole team matches up very well vs their team and it's heavily in our favor personnel wise. 5 guys we need to watch from them. LT Trent Williams (out for this game, so was legit injured), Nick Boas (DE), Arik Armstead (DE), Deebo Samuel (WR), George Kittle (TE).
