Teams also get holding calls when their quarterbacks don't have quick releases.
Both Rodgers and Brady know how to consistently get the ball out quickly and accurately. Their offensive lines know this and are less likely to need that extra second to keep their opponent off their quarterbacks.
Just saying.

Lol...the holding had nothing to due with releases, we were getting these calls early in the year when Dak was top 2 in releases. So that had nothing to do with it.

Yes, it does.

Listening to other broadcasts and even last night's broadcast, several commentators were saying receivers were open, but Dak was holding on to the ball too long.

Not all holding calls are a result of the quarterback holding the ball.

But to dismiss a quarterback's slow release as a contributor is merely an attempt to absolve the quarterback from any responsibility.

Because a qb hold onto the ball doesn't cause holding, the Olineman doesn't have to hold, they hold because they get beat. When this olineman was good they would give Dak all day to pass, recently they get beat early and try to recover.

Neither of them would win either, this is a team problem, with 14 penalties they all lose too.
There is a huge faction of fans that believe #4 is the main issue just like there was a huge faction that thought #9 was the main issue

in both cases they are wrong . I couldn’t stand Romo and his fans for the first 6 years of his career because of his propensity to grasp defeat from the jaws of victory but like now he was only a faction of the problem and there are several

this team is a stupid team 14 penalties and it’s not the first time this year they had double digit penalties

a lot of fans though will focus on Daks pathetic ground balls as the only issue because that part of his game is unlikeable especially at 40 mil a year

Same amount of wins as the snake oil salesman we have at QB.

Okay. So why is he worth “doing anything” to bring in if the results are largely the same? He’s older and achieving less and less success with each passing year.

My appreciation for Brady’s greatness increases with each passing year.

35 playoff wins.

A record that will stand forever.

An offensive lineman protecting his quarterback will hold just as a corner back beat on a deep route will commit pass interference.

He'd rather commit the penalty than give up a touchdown. Similarly, an offensive lineman will hold rather than get his quarterback killed.

I can appreciate this thought process and has some validity but the sooner you guys quit comparing Dak to those 2 the sooner you’ll be able to approach fandom of this team differently

Dak is here to stay and he isn’t going to all of the sudden become Brady or Rodgers but improving the line (which there are 2 maybe 3 very weak spots) can help
Getting fewer penalties would help , getting a better rb or using the ones we have differently will help

All said with the power of hindsight but yes, Dak definitely had his worst season and it got notably worse as it went along. Ditto the run game, the o-line, the coaching. Probably the only thing that improved as the season progressed was Leighton Van Der Esch.
:lmao2::lmao2::lmao:

We have been saying this would be the result if He got paid . . . ALL ALONG . . . But you aint hear us though

I know Dak isn't on the level of those two.

I'm merely responding to the comparison.

That's still okay to do isn't it? :)
