News: Rumor: Payton over MM

He's actually quoting Michael Lombardi, but feel free to comment without reading the article.

I did read it which is how I know Fisher wrote it. Just because Lombardi is the source does not change what Fisher wrote is crap.

Zeke fits the bill for a 1st rounder...and they can "have" Dak.

I think the Saints might be willing to budge without having to give up a first round pick for him.

They know he’s got one more year and will more than likely sign with Dallas. They’re not stupid, they know he’s friends with the Joneses and probably wants to return to Dallas. They may be willing to at least get something for him rather than have him walk free.

yes and please. our 24th pick? no problem. please
Yeah I would do it too. People on here worship first round picks like it’s the only way to improve a football team. I would definitely give it to them to get one of the premier head coaches in the league.

You are full of crap. You should watch Mike Fisher and listen to him. He is an awesome source for legit information on the Cowboys.

Question I have is.....If you had to trade for Payton. Do you think the Saints would take Prescott for Payton...straight up?

The Saints do need a QB.....Just saying.

Honestly.....If the Saints were willing to make that deal......I'd do it in a heartbeat.

And draft the kid out of Nevada.....and start over.

And your getting rid of the McCarthy stench.....Done deal!!!!!
Sweet'n the deal with ZEK too!

Sportrac also says Payton only has 1 year left on his deal

This makes sense. If anyone can turn Dak into a better Qb, its Sean Payton, and this team is going nowhere until Dak gets better. Payton loves Dallas. He loves the Jones family. The cost of luring him to Dallas was too high in 2019, but Payton has only 1 year left on his contract.

I can see a likely scenario where MM comes up short next year and Jones quickly moves on to Payton. I'd rather it happen this year, but we would probably have to send NO some compensation. I just don't see Jerry passing on Payton if there is an opportunity to get him.
This is all logical,
Be interesting to see what happens.

#SI, #FISH, #COWBOYS, #I CAN'T READ HIS POSTS BECAUSE OF ALL THE ##, # SO CALLED SOURCES.

It's actual comedic reading his tweets....

Really ? What impressed this year in New Orleans . Dallas went into that place stole the candlesticks opened an expensive French quarter bottle of wine kicked back on the furniture and the Saints had no answers. Can Dallas not think out of the box and not hire another coach on fumes living off a decade old SB win. Like MM & Payton .

They have......signed Kellen Moore......and he gave you the #1 offense in the league...and it's still not good enough. Problem was...McCarthy didn't have this team ready to play.....and they have been undisciplined his entire tenure.

I'm surprised that some on this board still don't know that little detail about Prescott's contract. He ain't going anywhere he doesn't WANT to go. And as for Payton? I live in Louisiana and Payton is revered here. He is highly unlikely to leave a situation where he is the total BOSS for a situation where he'd merely be a puppet. 2023...2026...it doesn't matter. Fans should disabuse themselves of this funky fantasy. It ain't gonna happen.
