Hahaha!

We literally haven’t even hired the guy and y’all have already started. You cannot make this **** up!!

We won’t be hiring him which is going to be another huge disappointment that’s going to frustrate fans even further leading to a more miserable offseason. Lol

I think Peyton is more respected. Is an offense guru. Is a qb guru. (He had Jamies playing all pro football before he got hurt). Pretty much every problem we have he can at least help with.

You see it’s about bringing back respectability to this franchise. The minute MM signed on and agreed to let Moore run the offense he proved he was another puppet.

Sean Peyton doesn’t come across that way to me. That’s the difference.

I don't think Jerry gave MM unlimited permissions over all things football related.
If Sean agrees to coach here, I believe that would be a prerequisite.

We see how coveted Sean Payton is. For the ones trying to act like MM is on the same level, we’ll see how coveted he is once he’s fired and how many teams lineup to get him.

The only difference is one guy is the current coach and the other one isn't. So we have to fire who the current coach is and go get someone else who isn't and then when he doesn't win we'll have to fire him too and hire someone else. And then when he doesn't win we'll have to fire him and hire someone else. And then go on dallascowboys.com an order a Micah Parson's jersey and other stuff with the Cowboys star on it, because we have to prove how loyal of a fan we are. And then go back to complaining how our coach sucks and he needs to be fired.

The big caveat for Payton is we just cant outright sign him. It will probably cost us our 1st an minimum. Now if you believe the PFT rumor, compensation was agreed to in 2019 between us and NO

Or we can just review their careers and the success that they've had.

Even if they were similar coaches. If JJ respects Peyton enough to move the hell out of the way than that’s good enough for me.

Peyton is the guy JJ has been chasing ever since he left.

Even Mccarthys best friend Glazer said Payton was a better coach. It’s not just the people in here, everybody in the league has the same opinion.

Saw this on Twitter

Exactly .the ridiculousness of people comparing MM to Peyton. MM just had a team that was nervous… unprepared and committed millions of penalties in the biggest game of the year for us. Against every good team this year it happened.

Meanwhile Peyton beat the packers and buccaneers with the likes of jameis Winston and Trevor Simeon. Peyton had far less talent in NO this year and almost did as much as MM

Not much difference between the two they both won a Super Bowl with one of the all-time great QBs early into their head coaching careers and neither have won anything since.

I hate to say it, if the prerequisite for Sean Payton to sign with us is “getting control of all things football related”, he won’t be invited to Dallas by the Jones boys.

If this was a deal breaker - these rumors would have been dead years ago. Clearly it’s not

Lot of history and good history with Payton and the Boys. Been here and knows Jerry. Also part of the Parcells coaching tree. He beat the hell out of Tampa Bay this year. He has a hands on approach to things that Mike doesn't seem to have. Tough guy and 58 years old. I think he can motivate a team. Not sure Mike can.

I'd let him come if he is also given the same control Parcels had here in a heartbeat. The question is whether Jerry would give him that level of control because he only gave it to Parcells.

Going back to what I said earlier in the thread about McCarthy turning into more of a CEO type coach than he was in GB. Early in the season, it had looked like he may have been successful in that. There were times where the team just felt different than past disappointments. However what you said here is the most salient evidence that that he is not a fit in that type of role
