Next season is just another wasted stuck in purgatory season?

Everyone is going to keep making that mistake for a while and there will always be someone (it was my turn) pointing it out, like you and everyone else did not already know it and the person who pointed it out did not know what you really meant :D

In this case though I was curious if you would go with a winning or losing record .. :)

We have to play the NFC east 6 times, based on talent alone those are 6 wins. Then we play the Lions, Bears, Jags, and Texans, we end up winning 3 of those 4. After that, I don't see them winning against playoff teams or any of the teams that were competing for a playoff spot after week 15. This team is mentally soft since the days of Wade Phillips.

I think some of those games will be harder next season than they were or would have been this season.

Every year though is a new year and what looks like easy wins next season may end up being losses, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I think we should just move forward with fixing the OL and resign a few of our own FAs and cut the cord on a couple of players.

would love to see us draft OL the first two picks. then defense perhaps...not saying reach. I always like the BPA approach, but we sure need to fix the middle of the line.

dump cooper, perhaps we can resign Gallup+ Wilson with just a little more money than that.

Dump Lawrence.

this offense works, when the OL plays at a high level and they didn't do that this year....Martin was good. Smith was good when he played. Collins was up and down. steele was good. but Williams and Biadasz...ugh....and that's 2/5 of the line. and 2/.3 of the middle of the line....

it will cost us a lot of draft picks to get payton. so we have to be willing to part with them and we better make dang sure he is the one.

If Payton wanted to go and rebuild a team from near the bottom he'd not have left the Saints.

In my opinion, of course...

I still think that the admiration society BS that is being floated out there between Booger and Payton is about 85/15 coming from Booger and isn't being reciprocated back the other way as we are being led to believe....Payton is just using Booger as leverage for top dollar next year when he possibly returns to coaching...probably with the Chargers. I truly think that Booger is still hanging onto the pipe dream of elevating Boy Toy Part Deux....aka....Junior. Deep down he is hoping that Payton loves his TV gig and decides to continue on with it....if he was serious about winning, Payton or a Payton type would already be here. Can Charlotte please take Booger and Chuckles deep woods hunting, and return to town by herself!!!

So, we are getting a head start on complaining about next season? Hell, why wait for 2023? Or 2025? Let's get a jump on those too!

MM will be back so it will be the same crap. Penalties, poor clock management, and wasting a lot of talent. Everyone seems to be more excited about Sean Payton in 2023 and is conceding that next season will be more of the same crap. Can we just fast forward 1 year so the majority of us can finally be optimistic about this team?

Firing Garrett two years ago was suppose to add optimism. As long as Jerry Jones is running the show changing head coaches isn’t going to help. The last six Cowboys head coaches combined for only three playoff wins.

Unlike the Cowboys front office I'm proactive!

My bad, 9-8 since we play in arguably the worst division in football.

My man is that accurate, or just the scenario put forth.

The AFC East and South are worse Divisions than ours

The NFC North is worse and South is just a little worse

But every time this is bought up I say why is it just taken for granted The NFC East is the worse Division in football with Two Playoff teams ?

On another note, 2021 was a smashing success unless you ate the BS and believed the Cowboys had a snowballs chance in a Microwave of sniffing the Super Bowl.

5-11 to 12-5 is improvement. Now is more improvement needed , yes definitely. But step back from the ledge, or jump, just as well. The bandwagon's getting a little heavy for my taste anyway

the saints finished 9-8 with Hill, Simiean as his QB....so he did decent with those guys...

but in some ways, you maybe right because they are 70M over the cap. they would have to do some heavy restructring and cut a few guys and they could be competitive. it wasn't a total rebuild...

Saints played the 5-12 Panthers and the 7-10 Falcons. twice each. Also played the 3-14 Jags, 4-13 Giants, 7-10 WFT, 4-13 Jets and 7-10 Seahawks.

Going 9-8 with that schedule is no great feat, Dallas played a similar schedule and went 12-5. Hill is no top NFL quarterback, Kamara, for as much love as he gets, has never had a 1,000 yard rushing season, has played every game only once in his years in the league. And he's pretty much their entire offense these days.

You might be right, unless Payton does coach the Cowboys we'll never know but I'm not convinced he'd be an instant winner in Dallas...

Now if we can only get Drew Brees out of retirement in 23 we’ll be good to go!

......and we will all be here again to watch. lol
When you've been following the team like I have, since the early 70s,there's no turning back now,but im a very disgruntled fan now and not the very optimistic one I used to be,26 yrs of very little success has hardened me to the core..this is NOT the cowboys I grew up with and loved with a passion...so depressing.
