Hard to do it but leave it to Jerry

One simple decision to make: fire or keep McCarthy

What does our fearless leader do? He decides first to not publicly back Big Mac, then he falls all over himself to say he and MM “worked hard” together to get Quinn to return, and then JJ immediately turns around and undermines MM by publicly talking up Quinn’s head-coaching pedigree and how he would be happy to have DQ as a HC.

Pretty amazing how many errors Ol Jerrah can squeeze out of one situation. It took him all of two weeks to simultaneously sabotage MM, erode any hope in 2022, AND set Quinn up as his next puppet in command for 2023

As I watch the SB today— I will be shaking my head as I watch Cincinnati get things figured out before our FO does. Incredible

Next situation to screw up: Amari Cooper

Instead of talking him UP as an asset and quietly listening to trade offers to get some useable value back… JJ has made it known he is displeased with AC— so we will get nothing when we inevitably release him as every team knows we will— thx again to Jerry for telegraphing our every move weeks before we do anything

Man— I’d love to play poker against him. Aside from being drunk and senile, his tells have to be best in show lol

Jerry does not want to admit he’s made a mistake. Until he can take his emotion out of the game we’re not winning anything significant. It starts and ends with Jerry.

Pretty much. Yup

Having Quinn in place was essential to having leverage against the Saints for compensation for Payton a year from now.

As far as Mike McCarthy ever helping Jerry do anything like that....hahaha haha.

Jerry still really thinks he can have coordinators on different pages and the HC is just someone who stands on the sidelines because he can't get away with that.

Every SINGLE time....even with Parcells...Jerry has to stick the HC with one of his coordinators.

Every single time it's problematic.

Those "lahng hahrd luhks in dameer" apparently don't reveal this.

What does our fearless leader do?

BigMac isn't going anywhere. What Jerry will do is pick up some washed up vets in free agency, draft, and go with what we had last year if at all possible. I'm not expecting any big moves or anything out of the ordinary. We're probably going to lose a few big named players. I'm guessing we'll be similar to last year.

The only way there is a chance is for the local and national media to dog him relentlessly about his 30 years of failure. No softball questions, just questions about the failure of his football knowledge

You know your favorite team is in trouble when….
  • Your GM is 80 and thinks he “still has what it takes” despite over a qtr of a century of evidence that says otherwise.
  • The next person in line for GM is the 80 year old’s fortunate son who qualified for his job the night dad’s check cleared the bank to buy the team.
  • The “family front office” members have lifetime contracts regardless of on field results.
  • Your owner loves the visual “aesthetics” of streaming sunlight for a playoff game more than making it easier for his players to be able to see the ball.
  • The #1 qualification to work in the front office is DNA, not talent or experience.
  • The owner/GM has more radio/TV exposure than his head coach or players and publicly undermines his coaches with his big mouth weekly.
  • The owner is obsessed with getting “credit” rather than winning.

Lol… nope. Been on this train since the 80’s. I may be cynical. I may criticize this team until they get it right. Hell, I may take a sabbatical from watching football entirely next year.

But make no mistake… I love the Cowboys and they’re stuck with me as a fan— celebrate the highs and will speak my mind when we sink to new lows

Big difference:

Have you ever heard their owner do an interview or TV spot, or draft war room from his yacht, or hire his entire family into “the business”?

Nope......honestly, I'm not sure I can name 5 owners who gets as attention/exposure as Jerry and we're not talking local stuff.

Well, the Bengals GM has acquired Reader, Ogunjobi, and Hendrickson in FA the last two years and it has put them in the super bowl. I would not care if Jerry was the GM if he were competent as a GM. He is not, not even remotely close.
