I'm not sure if "no one" is asking, but it's an interesting chat about Cee Dee, Dak's future, Sean Payton, and others.

What if Dak's second half is what he his going forward? What if Sean Payton doesn't really want to coach the Cowboys?

that may very well be true. if Dak continues down the path, then 2023 will be his last.

I am not sure if Payton is interested, unless he gets paid handsomely, which if this current regime fails, is what Jerry will do. he will start to lose fans. and he has to do something to generate hope and excitement and Payton will be worth his investment.

May depend on what Payton thinks of Dak?
Anyone consider that? (I have not watched the video yet)

If a scientist was studying Dak's ability at QB then the first 6 games of 2021 would be removed as the outlier. Because he has never played that well before or since, so in any experiment the outlier should be removed.

Dak is something in between those first 6 games and those last 11 games games. He's closer to the last 11 games though.

1) The production of CeeDee Lamb has been a disappointment. How much of that is on him is highly debatable. I put it on the QB more than him but I do think he owns some of it too.

2) Prescott is what he is. He lacks talent. He'll never be the reason why you win. He needs to be carried. I'm tired of even talking about this.

3) Not cutting Anthony Brown would show more of a lack of belief in that circus freak Nahshon Wright. You don't typically want to pay a 4th corner that much but you can when your top 2 corners are on rookie contracts.

4) Sean Payton would love to coach the Cowboys but I don't care. His resume shows he isn't an upgrade over Mike McCarthy. Both are quality coaches but unless the owner changes they are doomed to fail.

I know you’re not a fan of Dak and I get it. Having said that it’s weird how he can look like Brady against the Divisional opponents and lesser teams, but not so good when we play tougher opponents. Plenty of tier two QB’s can’t do that at all. Which leads me to believe our offense just isn’t good enough. Everything has to be perfectly executed for it to work. Playing a RB that is hurt and slow doesn’t help either. Dropped balls when the passes are there is another. It’s the ultimate team game and even though he’s paid more than anyone, he needs help.

People have nerve accusing you of not knowing what you're talking about.

The truth is a bitter pill.

Trust me, several of you keep me quite aware pretty much daily.

It seemed easier and more fun when denial was a strong flowing river.

Cooper is about to be gone and he clearly is the best WR on the team and makes all the other WRs jobs much easier.

Zeke, Smith, Martin all a year older and another year of wear and tear on their bodies.

All of this with not enough money to replace them with equal talent.

You think the offense isn't good enough now? You've seen nothing yet I'm afraid.

I think Dak can and will play better than he did the second half of this year. Unless our O-Line is going to continue to play this way. And have no run game. If that’s gonna be the case then not gonna matter who is playing QB or the HC. But I see is improving and drafting some O-Line. I wish for a new O-Line coach. I think philibin scheme is bad fit for us.. But Elliot should be healthy along with Pollard who will be playing for a contract..

Given his contract status he's the QB for at least the next two years. Any questions anyone may still have about him, in particular the guys who actually make personnel decisions, should be completely answered in time to decide what happens next.

Personally, I think he is what he is - good, not great. He's shown flashes but has lacked the consistency needed. Even the best QBs have an occasional stinker, but you can't look "meh" over a several game stretch. That's not greatness.

Given the rest of the team being built by the Jones boys, including the coaches, they need to fall into greatness at QB to have a chance. They haven't since Aikman.

I think Payton saw enough of Jerry to know he wouldn't be allowed a fair opportunity to coach the Cowboys without his interference.

Add the holding machine at LG, an unreliable kicker, and refs that watch Dallas closer than most others.

I’m not sure why fans think coaches would want to come here unless their phone isn’t ringing.

Since Jimmy left when have we pursued a hot commodity being pursued by other prominent franchises ?

Oh I have no doubt in my mind it’s going to get worse. Moore was retained and they will still try to make Dak a 40 pass per game QB. Zeke can be ok if he’s healthy, but our run concepts are lousy.
