The best way to trade a player is to let everyone know he will get released if no deal can be made.

I'd be surprised if anyone trades for that contract.

Agreed. He basically has a 3 year $60 million contract left. It would have to be a team like the Rams that don't value draft picks and could give a rip about the salary cap. But even they would look at contract amount versus production.

Said just now at the Combine. A few teams are interested and if not, he'll get released.

As an aside, the Bills have given Cole Beasley permission to seek a trade

Don't be surprised if Beasley is out released per cap casualty...

Generally true, but a player like Cooper will have his choice of teams and QBs searching for a top WR.
Teams like the Commanders have no chance in free agency and are likely to make trade offers.

I know of no such team.

I dont think releasing him should be an option. You could trade him as long as you are willing to keep him if you dont get an acceptable offer. At best you will get a day 3 pick just so a team doesnt get outbid in the open market

I don’t think that’s really an issue
If a team wants him bad enough to take on his contract then trading for him gets you the player you want
A bigger issue is who wants that contract
I think that contract will scare off most teams

I just heard a stat that Dak's QBR with Cooper on the field was 65, which would have 4th in the league (Brady, herbet <dak>, Stafford, Mahomes)

Without Cooper on the field, 35, good for around 25-27 area (Big Ben, Davis Mills, Mayfield, area.

Doesn't that seem like pre-Amari cowboys offense? But hey we got Zeke for whatever stupid money, lets get rid of the guy that unlocked this thing..... I guess Zeke. has way more Jersey sales.
