Why does anyone here think the Cowboys will sign any starting level FA’s? Why do people post new threads with the names of good players who have been released? Why do you refuse to listen to all the Cowboys FO who tell us they aren’t going to sign many, if any significant outside FA’s? Why do you continue to hope about the FA role of this organization?

Hope springs eternal for some folks. Every year it's a wish list followed by a couple of ho-hum pick ups.

You are right, but these threads happen every year... as do the ones asking why they appear. I suppose the next phase in the evolution is a post asking why bother asking why? Before long it'll be the chicken and the egg and we can forget it was even football related.

I hold no hopes of signing any top FA's.
Just hope as the FO does, they hit on a mid level, or low level hole filling type player.

Then the hope of getting lucky in the draft. Which overall the past several years or so they hit on some.

It will still come down to coaching and schemes.
Dan Quinn is the bright spot as he will continue to build upon what he has. However, a few of those player will be gone.

I think the offense will still be good, however, Moore is the dark spot if allowed to continue calling some games the way he does.
This is where MM needs to step in.

They are either known Kool Aid drinkers or living in the past when Jimmy Johnson, John Wooten, and Bob Ackles was in control of the Dallas Cowboys.

Chances this is the year they change their FA philosophy is slim. They would have to release or redo too many contracts to create space.

They signed at least 4 free agents last year that were starting level on a 12 and 5 division winning team.

Everyone expects some kind of huge splash. I think they can make enough room to find a few productive players. Stupid contracts is why this team is in the position that it’s in.

I certainly don't. They go for free agents scraps who they say are for depth...the problem is they need starter material. This "depth" becomes the starters. They work backwards...you look for depth after you have your potential starters.

They would rather not have an extra few million in dead cap space a couple of years from now than reap the benefits of what a guy like Wagner would do for this defense.

That's why our upside is losing in the divisional round.

Right.....and their unbelievably legendary draft last year produced exactly 1.5 contributors.

Parsons and a half season or so out of OO.

If you get two key players out of any draft its as much as you could hope for......yet they seem to count on like triple that.
