terrible job with this. Restructure contract or just keep him. Unless there are things that happened that we don't know about this is just an absolute embarrassment. We are a worse ootball team today.

no we are not first off

We save 16mil against the cap..umm yes better than nothing..i always thought the narrative is the FO takes too long holds on too long before letting and player go..they are getting ahead of his contract that helps cap room. he maybe a very solid 1 but hes not elite nor been great of late had little drive and passion to be any more then hes always been and now going top his 3rd team. Lamb and Gallup along with whatever else they come up with add Schultz is back will be fine..im more concerned about reestablish the OL and run game it will actually make the pass game better ..less options imo is better we can key one player per game and try and scheme him vs just saying oh well we have an embarrassment of riches at WR and still one and done in the payoffs. Far too many options like too large a menu that take forever choosing what top order, easier to target and scheme players , i mean its not leaving us without starers like in 18..lamb a first round pick and Gallups better then he was 3 years age. We wil eb fine stop whining and overreacting,. AC has not been special and not helped us get over the hump..

... accept change its part of life and part of sports.

I cannot believe we are going to give a guy coming off an ACL 10 mill a year. Ridiculous.
Overreact much? dak got 40 coming off a much worst injury and played game 1 and played great most ff the season, no setbacks. An acl is not a career killer nor something to worry about. Its not its 9 month recovery and he can go full out.. an acl is almost considered elective surgery the way you can come back so fast and not look back.

i had one at 48(2018) and in 6months felt ready to go and started out light and at 9months got back to all my snowboarding, wakeboarding and other thing, I blew it wakeboarding and was back doing the very trick that took me out and that was 4 years ago, im 52 and not one issue with it.

I bet he doesn't start camp. It's a mistake, but this FO is used to making blunders.

Why not ask some tough questions for once Archer? Dallas media is a competent as the Jones family is.

This team is awful at negotiating. Now we just gave Gallup a ton of leverage because he knows we have to pay him now.

I was thinking the same thing. Gallups eyes had to light up when he saw the news.

The next breaking news will say something along the lines of negotiations with Gallup have "stalled." Lol

If the team determined he was not worth the contract why would they keep him? The options were cut or trade (or pay cut but presumably Cooper said no) and at that point every team knows those are the options.

Gallup had leverage regardless. Its not about what the Cowboys are willing to pay but the next team. Even with Amari Cooper...he took less to play here over going to the Commanders.

Free agency isn't about getting "deals" and blue light specials. The market is dictated by what teams are willing to play players.
