I have no problem with retaining Armstrong - for the right price.

I simply see him as a rotational guy vs. playing the majority of snaps.

Once they lock him up, ( and we will still need to draft a starting DE) will Urban be next ?
After all, we're not going outside the organization.
The reason the pro-scouting depth. Isn't any good anymore. Is they've all left. Who needs pro-scouts if you never use them ?

The regular season is nice but the tournament is what you play for. I looked up the defensive stats from the wild card game and we had no sacks. Three players had TFLs Lawrence 1, Parsons 1, Armstrong 1. Gregory had 1 tackle and three assists.

Gregory was a progress stopper....I wanna see what Armstrong can do in a full time role.

Guess it depends on what they pay him.
He was solid contributor (5 sacks, lots of hurries) last year but I'd think its more for depth.

I can’t wait for the spin when he is given way beyond market value, but someone worth market value is too rich for them and they sign for less than Armstrong elsewhere

No, No. WE GET THIS. We don't need to sign Pro Bowlers. Just starting caliber players, who can come in and start for us.

We are tired of the Nolan Carrolls, Keanu Neals, Cedric Thorntons.

We don't hate signing Armstrong. But go sign a Bobby Wagner, Will Fuller, Dante Fowler, Michael Pierce as well.

We haven’t signed a guy for more than $5 million in free agency. since BRANDON CARR. That was ten years ago
Is that when Jr.(cheepo) started having more say.

Hahahahahaha.

He's a backup. Nothing wrong with that as we need depth at DE. But we really need to stop thinking guys who have been in this league for multiple years are actually better than they have shown simply because they haven't been starting.

If Armstrong is their solution at DE in FA, that's just weak.
