5th rd with all those extra selections would be a good time to double up there and some other spots like Center, NT, LB, TE, RB.

Agree, he is probably #1 on that 3rd tier list. Think there is an outside chance he is there at 88. Who would you take in the 2nd tier at 56?

Depending on the board Id 100% take someone like Pickens, Watson, Moore or Datsun at 56.

Many of us are hoping the Cowboys do not take a receiver within their first 2 selections. Good news is, many teams are receiving hunting and both the Chiefs/Packers traded away the 2 best in the league. Teams like the Lions, Jets, Eagles, Falcons, Washington, Texans all are in dire need at the position. This could bring trade action, but very likely the top receivers are all off the board.

Dane mentioned the top 9 receivers (bold 1st rd prospects)-Wilson, Olave, London, Burks, Williams, Dotson, Pickens, Moore, Watson (maybe 1 gets selected late rd 1).

The 3rd tier guys, who do you like for the Cowboys?

Tolbert, Metchie, Austin III, Bell, Shakir, Pierce, Doubs, Robinson (This are all in that late 3rd, early 4th rd range)

How he doesn't have Shakir in the 1st tier is beyond me...I would put that kids highlight reel against anybodies.

The top tackles and the edges aren't likely to fall anywhere near our range. We would have to trade up to land either. With all our needs, not happening! It's going to either be Green/Zion or if one of those top receivers fall. They might have a chance to move back, if GB doesn't take a WR at 22.

The Cowboys have invited Cross in for a 30 day visit. If they like him they will get him. I think the Cowboys have Cross higher on their board by a large margin over the guards. A third and a 5th could get us in the top 20.

I have watched Austin from ND for a few years. The kid really is uber talented, has good size. But he's a project for sure. But if you can get him like you did Wilson, in that 5th, 6th round range, it's worth the flier IMO. He might have Top 3 round skills. His development at ND was stunted in part by his own issues but also personnel issues at ND (he really played with limited QBs).

If you have a WR coach that can get through to him, he could be one of those late rounders that really pays off.

David Bell is a pet cat of mine, and would be a very good third WR. Out of the slot, he would be an effective option.

When I saw KC trade Hill......first guy I thought of.....Move makes sense......your saving a ton of money...and loading up on picks......and the drop off in talent is very small.....if any.

Just ticks me off....our front office can't make a move like this.

I agree, it’s going to be OL or Receiver in rd 1 and probably the other in the next two rds

In the past they've commented that they considered players at 2 positions for their 1st round pick and bypassed the position that was the deepest (i.e. They expected to get that position in round 2).
