When the other 31 GM's in the NFL pause like an EF Hutton commercial to care who the Cowboys are taking, let me know.

The game is not keep away from the Cowboys, they are not a fear factor.

You said they again are again telegraphing their eventual pick, when they for sure did NOT have those results the last two years.

The irony you calling me a liar with that explanation.
Yeah, you clearly don’t understand what’s being discussed.

Go ahead and laugh. Of all the favorites, the Cowboys have the easiest route to the playoffs and have 9 draft picks. They just need Dak and Parsons to stay healthy.

Absolutely they are. They think they're geniuses after last year, but the only reason we didn't end up with Jaycee Horn was the team in front of us. They were 100% all in on corner and lo and behold, the top two went right before us. They're only lucky they landed the best player as a result. How many times can you count on luck? Chances are we will miss out on the guy we want and who knows what we get afterwards

True

Plus everyone has a fairly good idea what other teams are targeting.
As long as BPA is at least part of the equation (as it clearly was with Dallas in Rd 1 the last two years)you can't assume a team will force a pick based solely on top need.

Keep hearing that, but both Parsons and Slater were higher on their board, according to some
Doesnt mean they wouldn't have taken Horn, but we do not know for sure.
The radio/tv and Cowboyszone draftniks have been surprised a lot lately

I'm not sure it matters when you're drafting at the bottom of the round. Let's be honest, most teams have given what, 18-20 players a 1st round grade. I'm not sure the so-called best avail player applies as much targeting a couple of prioritized positions. Besides, it's not that hard to see what/where position(s) most teams will use high picks.

The Joneses said on the radio they were set to take a corner, though they had higher rated players like Parsins

Bingo!!! ........with all intel/info at their disposal, I'm guessing most GMs can tell ya the exact player or position at least half of the teams will draft with their 1st pick.

What do mean we don’t know?

They literally said they were targeting one of the two corners heading into the draft.

Im going to sit here and wait for someone to post direct 2021 pre-draft quote from Jerry saying they will for sure take a specific player if he's there when were on the clock.

There are dozens of local and national media folks that tell us what they think Jerry will for do.
Thats not at all the same as for sure doing it.

We “think” we know they liked 3 1st round CBs last year at various levels…Surtain, Farley, Horn
2 were gone when drafted….though we don’t know if they were higher on our board than Parson or Slater
One CB was left, we ended up taking Parsons

Did Dallas telegraph Cee Dee Lamb?
NO

Did Dallas telegraph Micah Parsons?
NO

thread fail

Because in both cases, they had no choice but to take both because they fell. The team never expected them to fall that far.

But Cal is right, this team does a pretty poor job of masking who they are targeting either by what they do (or what they don't know in FA) and leaks to the press. For example, we knew LVE was a clear target and a guy they were very keen on because 1) they did little at LB in FA and 2) it got leaked to a couple in the press the day before the draft.

Until proven otherwise, they aren't in the hunt. Having 9 picks in the draft means little. They have too many holes that they need quality players to think the draft will fix them all. Using your logic, they need to come out of this draft with:

1 - A great starting LG
2 - A quality WR to replace Cooper
3 - A real DE opposite of Lawrence
4 - A #2 TE in case Schultz goes down

That doesn't include the fact that if Ball doesn't work out, they have no swing OT. They also could use a center because Biadasz has some serious questions.

Thinking the draft solves all those problems is wishful thinking but it's the logic Jerry and Stephen have used for years now with little success.
