I don’t think this is controversial but out of all the guys we’ve had since Troy I think he was the best out of making you feel like “we can do anything” on O. Just uncanny ability to make plays/throws. He also could just as easily break your heart.

Smarter than folks imagined until he went to the broadcasting booth. One of several good players for the Cowboys the 20+ years who never had a real chance at a playoff run because of poor management on the part of Jones & Son. Tony never played on a complete roster or for a good coach after Parcells.

Leadership was always one of the criticisms with him. Couldn’t seem to rally the troops when it mattered but he had playmaking ability.

Romo played on terrible teams. He made them competitive. He made Jason Garrett coach of the year, a guy who is now out of the NFL. He did so much more with so much less. He was great.
