Still a couple really good players out there.

Darion Kinnard
Khalil Shakir
Damone Clark... 1st round talent if you are willing to gamble on a really scary neck injury

I'll guarantee I've seen this kid more than Kiper....he's a balanced TE in terms of his skill set: in other words, he blocks AND catches well. Kiper is such a tool. He thinks he knows all but doesn't frankly.

That’s what NFL Network said too..can do both and runs smart routes

I think its a good pick. Schultz was a blocking TE coming out of stanford. And schultz cant block and does nothing special in the receiving game. Schultz is ok but easily replaceable.

Ferguson was a good pick.
EASILY.

TEs who catch 78 balls are a dime a dozen....lol

Yeah, but in my opinion, he's full of rubbish about Ferguson's blocking ability.

I mean if people are comparing him to Schultz that does not fill me with confidence considering what we know of his blocking (or lack thereof).

Trying to be the smartest in the room and “liking our guys” is on full display if they actually draft 4 guys in the 5th. Easy way for them to fill out the roster and to continue to not pay any real talent

Not sure of the comparisons, but most accounts aside from Mel say he's good at blocking.

Ferguson is a Schultz clone and a tad better blocker.....so this will be Schultz last year with Dallas. That was Dallas plan all along when they franchised him. Let someone else overpay him.

You still have to think a lot of a player to franchise them at the amount of money Schultz will be making this season. We have a long way to go before we know if Ferguson is capable of replacing Shultz in 2023. I wouldn’t be going out on that limb just yet.

My thought process was....they did pay Cooper a bunch of money.....only to turn around and give away for nothing the following year.

Big Badger guy here,...the biggest,...so shut up and LISTEN! Ferguson is an o.k blocker,..but he is known MUCH MORE for his pass catching ability. Nice hands,....goes up for the ball,...just finds ways to separate and get open. Cagey player. He is also former head coach and AD Barry Alvarez grand son. Good player.

Kiper has been getting paid for three decades to evaluate talent. He’s one of the best in the business or he wouldn’t have the position he does on ESPN’s draft coverage. Some fans think all these guys who evaluate talent and talk about the draft on national television are tools. This isn’t to say they’re always right because they’re not but I would take their word over the word of some fan on a message board. We’ll find out what Ferguson can do when he straps on the pads this summer on camp and during preseason.
