I just wish we had an OL teacher that was there for his ability as opposed to because our useless lame duck HC owed him a debt of loyalty.

I would still look at Salyer as a BPA at 167, but Matthew Butler would be a good add at that slot.

Ferguson is a Schultz clone and a tad better blocker.....so this will be Schultz last year with Dallas. That was Dallas plan all along when they franchised him. Let someone else overpay him.

I think Schultz is a bit more athletic but Ferguson has a really good catch radius. He also uses his body well to block out defenders on catches much like Witten did

Absolutely reddyuta...I like this pick. Check out his Sr. Bowl highlights guys. He moves REAL well for a big man and doesn't LOOK 320 lbs. He's pretty athletic and can actually gain some good weight with our strength and conditioning program. Developmental pick but a real high ceiling IMO:

Which is what I'd expect. The other good thing about taking the player we just got is that, when Tyron takes his annual 2-3 game hiatus, we're not forced to put Smith at LT where I think he would struggle.

In years past they have definitely telegraphed the pick. It aint very hard to figure out. They don't deviate from what they do. I'd love to play poker with the cowboys brass.
