Its doubtful Steele will ever be more than average so we must upgrade the RT position. Smith is a couple of years away from maybe being a tackle. The kid from North Dakota is interesting as tall as he is but clearly another developmental project. I am worried that by having to keep helping out Steele we are giving up too much.

Lets do an exercise regarding linebacker and filling immediate 2022 season holes.

Look back at the end of the year and see if any linebacker taken after our earlist 5th round pick makes a big, starting contribution to his team.

maybe one will! Barno maybe?

But at this 5th rd stage, if you are looking for short term, needs based fills, I suspect the remaining veteran free agents will do better.

That does not mean these picks aren't very important anyway

He’s very athletic so likely
Really good technique but needs to get stronger
It’s easier to make a guy stronger than it is smarter lol

Dude passes the eye test IMO...gonna need the next year in the S&C program and then we'll see. COULD develop into a nice swing tackle. Sensible, solid 5th round pick IMHO

The last three this round will be for Bones is my bet

Well so far they've cornered the market in OT projects. The TE could be the best player taken today.

1st pick I kinda don't get.
Maybe good future pick, but will sit on the P.S. for next 2 years.
Still kinda thought we need ayers who can contribute now.
6th and seventh rounds for stashing players. Still guys who can be special teamer's etc.
I don't know about that...he looks like he had no issues with dominating the Senior bowl guys. We will see...

Listen, in a couple of hours, the giggle boys will be in front of the camera with a cat who ate the canary attitude.

Why worry when they are in charge? It's a proven system.

It is okay to have average players at some positions. The problem is not the positions in which the Cowboys are average; the problem is the positions in which the Cowboys have starters that are either below average or bad.

Without seeing all the teams draft picks in a list yet. Seems the Jets, then the Ravens are having the best drafts so far.
Jets have done really well
They will probably still sux but they will look better doing it lol
