Funny, Ferguson looks slowish, but catches everything and always " open" ...Yet Mel Kiper thinks hes meh... I like this kid. He's an old school in line guy that is well rounded. Do ya'll remember Doug Cosby? He's basically HIM. Go watch his old tape. BTW..Cosby played in the Big Ten as well(Ohio State).

this is the part of the post draft process where we play pretend.
that NOBODY post combine said tulsa ot tyler smith had moved up the boards as a probable 1st rd pick.

that NOBODY said once we moved into april that sam williams could be drafted as early as rd2.

that NOBODY had s alabama wr jalen tolbert as a 2nd Rd prospect.

because now they're cowboys...so lets continue the false narrative.

He may be wrong, but I think it is a safe to say this is a questionable class with unknowns.

we have argued about his low grades for Dallas for years. For the most part he has been correct more often than Dallas front office. I believe he has give. Dallas solid grades the previous years.
If you argued against the Dallas draft class for years you've been very wrong. Consistently.

tyler smith and sam williams should not have surprised ANYONE who follows this team closely.
both players have been talked about as guys they loved...smith as a rd1 target...sam i am at 56 because they didnt think he'd make it to 88.

Look Mel is going to go of his draft card and will not deviate. If a team hits on his card it's a hit if not a miss, it's that simple. But over the years he has softened up a bit.

Mel “Hyper” Kiper is vastly overrated. He maybe right, may not. No one- not a soul on this planet knows whether or not this is a great draft or not. Check back in a couple of years.

I believe in giving all these players the chance to prove themselves before criticizing. The front office is another story. After the last 26 years, they have no benefit of the doubt. Especially since none of the guys named Jones ever admit that they are the problem.

Sam at 56 and Tolbert at 88 hasn't been talked about enough.

The Cowboys didn't feel, accurately i would say, that Sam would make it to 88, so they took him at 56.

They read the draft perfectly as there were so many wr's already taken that those teams would be unlikely to take another, even if it was great value.

A pass rusher with his production and measurables never makes it to 88.

The players are "unknowns" to Mel because he doesn't watch film anymore. The guy's retired and comes back for the draft and pretends he's still doing it.
