IMO yes, and many have been calling to see Pollard used in the slot and in a "web back" role in 21 personnel. I think the front offices have intimated that they are looking to get the ball in Pollard's hands more and I suspect/hope the intention is to take a page out of the 49ers book. Lets not forget though that Pollard is his own man with a slightly different skill set. He did have over 1,000 all purpose yards though so not like he's completely wasted. But it'd be nice if he could be utilized a bit more in the red zone and in tandem with Zeke. Especially while Gallup is injured and we might be a little thin at receiver.

I worry that zeke is hurting Pollards development, zeke IMHO should be used more short yardage and in pass blocking as needed....Pollard is the more dynamic and clearly shiftyer of the two.

I think it's entirely possible that Jerry has an ongoing infatuation with Ezekiel Elliott and what he wants for him. Tony Pollard has certainly proven that he's very deserving of getting more action than he was awarded last year. Perhaps Zeke's huge salary has altogether too much influence upon the amount of action he sees. It seems fairly probable that our FO might be overly concerned with that.

One would think that the fans, the media and the Dallas coaches would put pressure on the FO to have Pollard's carries increase. He has proven that he's adept in the passing game. So much so, that it might easily lead to him being allowed more action. It's also seemingly possible that the offense would benefit greatly from that being the case. Who knows, maybe it's on tap and we haven't heard yet.

Zeke’s owed money is absolutely a factor. There’s also not a shred of doubt in my mind that Jerry wants/wanted Zeke to be Emmitt’s heir apparent.

Zeke, has nothing to do with Pollard's game. Coaching, and management dictate Pollard's touches.

Let's not dismiss the idea that management wants to "get their money's worth" from the excessively generous salary being awarded Zeke. Perhaps it's not Zeke's idea, but what Jerry wants, he usually gets. The Dallas FO has always been keenly aware of reaping just returns for their investments.

At the fan's expense.

Back when Lamb was drafted there were posters in here suggesting to use him in the passing game as well.
