Outside of QB and Micah, below are the two most important players for next season imo.

1) DeMarcus Lawrence- He needs to be healthy and productive next year. He has been injured a lot but has been productive when healthy. He just hasn't gotten the sack totals. That needs to change next year. For years he was the first person teams focused on. That has changed. Now every team is going to focus on Micah. So Lawrence needs to be healthy, get at least 12 sacks and a lot of pressures. If he can't, this defense will struggle to produce anywhere close to last years results imo. I would expect turnovers to decrease next year.

2) Terrance Steele- The Cowboys offensive line has a ton of questions marks. LG starter, how good is the center, health of Tyron and Zach, TE blocking, can we run the ball, etc. If Steele is not an above average starter than that adds another hole and I believe the line will be a mess a year. It would just add another hole that will be impossible to patch all of them. If he is above average, they have a chance to piece a solid line together. If he is not, it will probably be the downfall of the offense.

These are definitely key guys. Whoever steps in a LG is going to be key as well, and with Gallup likely to miss some of the first part of the season our rookie WR really needs to step up right away.

For me it's always starts and ends with the running game... as long as we can playaction(PA) we good... no fakes on the PA we have to throw into coverage... so If permitted I would say:

1. OL (as a unit)
2. RB (by committee)

Yes defense win championships but I feel our defensive scheme has the right players to win a championship... we have to be able to run effectively in Dec and January ...

There are no wrong answers here.....cuz you can't just pin it down to two. You can argue for almost any two players and you can't go wrong. But i do agree that KM needs to step up his game, or this thing can go south real quick.

Takes a hell of a lot more than two, that's been the problem. The owner wants some stars and supporting players.

If I was to boil it down to two players other than Prescott and Parsons, that would be the two in the middle of that DL because if they don't fix that, nothing else matters.

I agree it takes more than 2 guys, winning SB is about team more than anything. This team needs to learn to play up to their ability when facing top teams, this team needs to learn how to play without being tight. They play not to lose but do not come out and attack

Dak and Micah. Most important players on the offense and defense. Both need to shine for this team to have a chance.

Lamb - Can he be the true number 1 and force the double and triple teams that our young WR's will need early with Gallup possibly missing games?
Tyler - Can he dominate as a run blocker while providing protection for Dak without the penalties that we suffered from the position a year ago?

Lamb not being on this list is an automatic fail

if Lamb doesn’t take a major step forward, this offense will regress mightily.
I think the offense will look different next season. However, I do agree that Lamb has to be the man....

No, its our best player, Dak and then I would might say the rookie Smith. If he bombs as a rookie and our line doenst improve then it will be much of the same.

Lamb is already the man. He was on pace his rookie year before Dak went down for 1400 yards receiving. In his 2nd season he led the Cowboys in yards, receptions and targets.

He will get even more opportunities this year with Cooper gone.

What do you think is going to look different about the offense?

CeeDee will get the double and triple teams that Cooper was getting. Lamb had those great seasons largely because Amari was the man and was getting the doubles that often left CeeDee one on one with the second or 3rd CB covering him.

I think we will run more 2 tight sets. I think Pollard will benefit from Cooper leaving as well by being more involved in the passing game.

Its was established and proven many times that Cooper wasn't getting double and triple teamed all the time. That appears to be a false narrative that the Cooper apologists have made up in their head.

Any other conclusions that were made based on that false narrative are also false.

Lamb had those great seasons because Dak clearly loved throwing to him and he got open. The guy is a stud. How much of a stud we are about to find out. Now that Cooper is gone the passing game can be more geared to featuring Lamb and his skills.

Its always amazing on here how much hate and made up nonsense can said in a Cowboys player direction simply because they like another player better.

You and the Cowboys should be overjoyed to have Lamb ready to be the #1 option so we can dump Coopers 22 million dollar cap hit.

Now that we have two decent TE's I agree we try to run more of those. As far as Pollard we would only be so lucky of the Cowboys actually used him properly. I have my serious doubts that Moore is capable of doing that. Pollard skills have been largely ignored in this offense. I see him having Deebo Samuel esq skills and potential.
