Not to get too serious here, but my daughter had it and she is not longer with us. Age 28.
If you know anyone with this illness encourage then to get help.
With meds you can live a fairly normal life.

Thank you for sharing what must be a painful subject. So sorry for your loss. Prayers to you and your family brother.

I can't help but wonder if Charles Haley is still as unpredictable as he used to be, when he had his bipolar incidents. He probably has it under control by now -- at least, I hope so! I still recall him riding his motorcycle into Randy White's restaurant/bar way back when. Randy told him to leave, and Haley refused, whereupon Randy then knocked him unconscious on the floor. Those were some pretty whacky times back then, with Haley around. :D

This group of linebackers getting forged by the likes of Charles Haley, is no longer cellulittus as a group...(infection on the skin).

If this entire group becomes 'big boy' tough and strong, finally, there will be a strong and stabilizing force beween the defensive front and the secondary. Hooooah!

100%.....I work with mental health adults and you're 100% correct but the key is the patient and Dr. finding the right medication. What I mean is right mg, dosages etc. and frankly, that can be a challenge initially but once achieved, their life can as normal as the next person. Thanks for sharing.

What's wrong with Haley.....pretty sure I read/heard he only helps players REACHING OUT for his advice.
He's strange. The guy used to show up at practices, take showers with the guys, then walk around naked with no towel. Jason Hatcher and him almost got into a fight behind that. Hatcher made him stop it. Wouldn't let him take a shower anymore. Jerry heard about their shoving match and told Haley to stop showing up at practices.

What the hell makes a guy show up, decade after he's retired to take showers with the guys. He was more than just bipolar. He was certifiable. Probably still is.

I was actually going to put this in my post. I heard/read all about his erratic behavior in practices and they stopped from having any interaction with players UNLESS asked. From my understanding that's clearly under control now, so when see him working with a player it's coz THAT player has reached out to him, NOT the other way around.

..good stuff, yes sir. Nice seeing LVE out there.
I know a guy who played with Haley at JMU. Says Haley is a jerk among other things:omg:. The reality to win in the NFL you need guys like Haley. Rumors out of Penn St., Parsons is the same type of dude.

I liked Haley as a player, but I'd rather have Ware helping these guys out.

You'd rather have someone with one Super Bowl win from another team and one total playoff win in Dallas? How many years was he here?

I'd let him mentor the waterboys. He used to get water for Parcells. When Haley said our stadium was built for losers, Ware was one of the losers.

You judging individuals by team accomplishments. Okay...Mark Sanchez made it to more AFC championship games than Dan Marino. So I guess you would say Sanchez was better than Marino.

Well we really need mentors who have been to the playoffs, preferably multiple Super Bowls.

Wow I would love to have seen that fight. I heard that Randy White was a badass? Wish I could have seen some of these players play back then.

As for bipolar, it just doesn't disappear. You have to consistently take medication to get it under control.

I'm sure Charles is all dialed in because if he steps out of line he has "3" daughters that will whip a few pot knots on Charles' head!

I appreciate what Micah's doing here but Haley's too old for it to matter.[/QUOTE
This, coming from someone who slobbers all over Wentz. I’m sure Haley forgot more about football than you will ever know.
