No scratching here because there never was an itch for Clowney, never wanted him.
As a fan base that has continually endured failures based on original draft status, we should have already had our hands slapped enough to know when to stay away by now.
I know and understand the angst of a fan base that wants to go shopping with some of our available cap, but honestly who is available that would even be worth the investment right now?
I was banging the drum on signing Tretter when the Browns released him but even that remains a mystery as to why nobody has signed him and I imagine for good reason.
Just goes to show you that just because your are not finding negative information about any player on the internet doesnt mean that teams dont have files of relative info that they do not share.
If I was a GM, and had negative inside info on a FA, I would never release that to anyone outside of only top brass within the organization.
Let another less informed team make the mistake.
