ahh, an emotional dak hater talking about other people being emotional. yeah, you are not emotional. you never want anyone's comments/posts to be deleted because its different than yours. you never insult others intelligence because they hold a differing opinion than yours. you don't post over a 100 times on a thread because you lack emotions about the subject...nahhhh, it couldn't be.

but I appreciate you speaking of me in third person. makes me feel special. ;)....

See what I mean? Look how childish and defensive they act when you point out how they live behind a flawed logic and are everything they claim others to be.

Can you expound on Dak's "natural flaws"?

Be careful...I am asking you sincerely with respect. But there are forces about that will crucify you if you mis-step.

I agree 100% which is why I never would have paid Dak market value even though I think he's a good QB. But I'm not paying good the same as really good. But that's how the NFL works right now with QBs.
The no trade no tag clause in the contract is far more impactful than Daks cap hit, and what most seem to disregard.

have to agreed, that dak is at best a good QB nothing special, and people setting around will find that out this season . All those yards were garbage times stats that's all a real FRANCHISE qb DON'T LIVE BY THOSE YARDS

the market is not about where you rank against the rest. its what's available. if Rodgers was available at the same time, I am sure his contract would have been larger. in fact he was available and he just got a gynormous contract. so did Allen and he didn't even hit the market. I know, its a tough concept to digest (sorry, don't mean that as an insult so please don't take it that way), but FA is not like the draft where salaries get slotted based on where you are picked (ranked really). its based on supply/demand and how your rank the supply and what the market is willing to pay for that supply.

Any quarterback signed to an extension after their rookie season is getting market value. It doesn't matter if it's Aaron Rodgers or Kirk Cousins. These rookies will not accept less than top market value. Other positions are paid based on talent level.

To add to your first point about "Dak is at best a good QB, nothing special"

That also relies heavy on the competition we're playing that week.

He can be good against the worst teams in the league, but he looks like an undrafted back up most of the time against better competition.

How fast people forget. Jason Witten. Dez Bryant. Both caught their first playoff touchdown passes from Prescott. One bad play against Green Bay and we lost. I bet you don’t even remember the game
In the GAME Prescott's offense scored 13 points in the first 3 Quarters of football.
Well, I guess it's better than the 7 pts in 3Q he scored against the Niners!!!!:banghead:

Agreed. But right now Dallas is fixing to not restructure Dak's contract next year. Everything points to that. If for some reason Dak craps the bed in 2022, they can move on from him after 2023. The no trade clause won't be an issue. But I don't think any team is giving us much for Dak and his enormous contract. So again, the no trade clause is not as significant as it is with other QBs. Although I do agree a no trade clause is bad for the team.

The Browns played it right.

Baker Mayfield has led them to more success then any QB they've had in a looooooong time, but they knew he wasn't the guy. So they refused to pay and him paid a real QB (although with a lot of baggage) instead.

The Browns are doing things the smart way.

Right. Dak is clearly not Patrick Mahomes or Aaron Rodgers, yet he got similar money. It doesn't matter when it comes to QBs.
it does. a year later and he is top 6, not top 2....that's the complexity of it all. and its supply and demand. if Rodgers, mahomes, Stafford, Dak were available at the same time. I gaurantee you that Dak wouldn't be in top 2 in contracts. he would be 4th in that group (Disclaimer: just to make sure a few don't go crazy, I don't mean he is top 4....just for this example for clarification.

funny. I never objected to being labled a zeke hater. but seemingly you object to being called a Dak hater. and as I said before, If I was really a blinded by love Dak supporter, then just call me that. I don't mind. labels don't bother me as much as it seems they bother you. However, just because I disagree with a comment or opinion, don't go to the extremes and be respectful.

and we can agree to disagree. I never said otherwise. I ask questions on items that need to be part of discussion at hand and when I do ask those questions, giving opportunity to some to explain their view, their immediate response is "you are a dak lover" and blah blah blah...what a chicken shiet cop out. so if we are going to respect each other's opinions, it needs to be both ways. without labels. without personal insults and attacks. just because we don't see eye to eye on a specific item. just because things aren't black/white as some want to make it be. doesn't mean we insult the other.

btw, I don't bash people unless they do. but when they do, I drag their arses through the flames. don't start insults then I don't escalate.
I object to it because I'm not. You've become so obsessed about it you cant even tell whos who.
Defending peoples right to their opinions....even yours....doesnt make me any kind if hater.

I am never going to understand this choosing sides over a player and getting so emotional about some guy making 40M a year.

You do realize some of you have actually gotten personal with posters on the other side just because of that one reason? You don’t like Dak so I don’t like you. You are friends with Dak so you can’t be friends with me.

Doesn’t this seem a little childish?

I am not obsessed, far from it. I take offense when people throw insults when they don't agree with my opinion or worse yet, when I don't agree with their opinion 100%....but seemingly many special people here tend to be obsessed with labels and use that freely. I acted exactly like them and I got called out? what gives.....I said I don't like giving any RB a second large contract and immediately get called zeke hater....

btw, its easy to tell who is who. the Dak Hater (LOL, sorry had to do it) are well known around these parts. and I appreciate you defending my right to my opinion and not labeling me (although you kind of did ;)), attacking me, insulting me....
