Dak's deal is looking better and better all the time.

Sources say Wilson's agent is seeking a 5 year guaranteed contract for $312 million, per Adam Schefter ESPN.

Winning is not important to Russ. He's made that abundantly clear.

He can seek whatever he wants, doesn't mean he'll get it....

Dak made the $40 million salary request and was laughed at. A couple months later, Jerry gave him the huge contract . It just shows that Dallas overrates it’s own talent that they drafted and likes to give average players big money.

Wilson is a nice QB, but he's not near Aaron's level.

I've never understood the greed thing in such a team sport. Every dollar you demand is a dollar away from having better teammates and with them a better chance to win. It seems so obvious and simple to me that every player would go to his agent and say "I want to be set for life, but don't screw up the cap so we have to suck because of me. Your job is to find that balance.. now go do it. And if you can't, I'll get a new agent."

He’s been a great QB. He’s probably got a couple more good years left.

What difference does it make in your life if you have 200 mil in the bank or 250 mil? Why not be rich and win?

Who in today’s society is willing to take one for the team?

Do not underestimate the ego factor.

It is a sad state we have come to but the character of someone is well behind their money in celebrity and status.

America worships money.

Exactly.. especially given that if you are successful in the right market networks will break their necks throwing money at you to do their shows or be one of their analysts. I mean who here would rather listen to Dan Orlovsky vs Peyton or Eli? The only real guys like Orlovsky have jobs is because a-list QBs won't stoop to doing what he does.. Plus he's probably making pennies on the dollar what they would pay an actual Super Bowl winning QB.. Just ask Tom Brady.. who is already guaranteed like 25 million a year to talk about the game the day he retires. None of that happens if he's out there trying to milk every dime out of the Patriots every time his contract came up. You wonder why so few other guys see that and put two and two together.. "Hey.. this guy took less money to keep a good team around him and now he not only has 7 rings but a post-playing career contract that will pay him as much as he is making playing the game. Maybe that's something I should consider doing.. "

And it's not like the difference between making 50 grand/year and 100 grand/year. You're richer'n crapp either way.

I support him getting every cent humanly possible as long as it's on another team. Hell, I hope there's a way multiple teams are paying him. The more the better!

The endorsements that become available due to winning further mitigates a slightly below market value contract, especially for a QB which is the most visible player on the team.
