quickccc said: radio says Mccarthy seemed disgusted to hear what trainer Jim Maruer said to him about Dak ....be prepared ... Dak may have broken his thumb.

He's probably relieved, he'll have a phoney excuse for a lousy season.

My fear is that Coop might be too good to lose our way to #1.

What you saw wasn't the fault of just one player or injury.
What ails us is systemic.
We simply aren't a good organization.
From the owner to the general manager to the coaching to the coordinators to the quarterback to receivers to the offensive line to everybody on defense not named Micah Parsons to the ball boy.
And let's stop convincing ourselves it's going to change. It's not.
We may win a few games, maybe beat up on our division, but we look like the same ole team year after year after year.

There’s plenty of blame to go around but it really boils down to the fact that there is no talent on the receiving core. We got a good look at how this offense with Dak would do with deficient talent at receiver five years ago and we were forced to trade for Amari Cooper. Apparently the front office has a short memory because they thought they could get away with it again. Well, they can’t. I’m generally optimistic but what I saw tonight strongly gives me the feeling that this season is over before it begins.

McCarthy is hopeless. It's not all the front office. He does too many things to please people. He built his pedigree as an offensive mind yet he's had a whole offseason and a $40 million QB and supposed elite RB to get things right. After the first scripted drive there was absolutely nothing left. McCarthy isn't in control of this team. He is a blind squirrel digging for nuts. He has no presence.
