Well, it would seem to me that Rush still has time to improve. After all, he's only played with the 1's on a few occasions. If he already sees the field well & makes on time, on target throws shouldn't reps with the starters give him an opportunity to settle in and get comfortable with other aspects of the game?

Especially when you factor in CL in the mix. Almost impossible to contain Rust when CL is applied.

However I think Rush has officially proved himself a competent backup. Id love to lock him in as a #2 in the offseason. I think he is somewhat limited, but plays confident in real games and takes care of the ball. Those two things are important for a backup QB

Some people apparently don't want that to happen. The same people that go on war path crusades when you say something negative about Dak are on here bashing Cooper. I guy playing well and winning.

Of course only time will tell...but why fans can't support Cooper, for now at least, is proof they only root for a player and not the team.

If that's the proof, what was Dak's record his first season? I'm off the Dak train, but I can't say Rush is the better QB. His first half was pretty good yesterday, but his second half, not so much.

Give Rush a chance and you might be surprised. You wouldn't be saying this about Dak if he never got the chance.

I think Rush is just a bad preseason QB. He has had two very similar performances in the regular season. And I think what he is doing is repeatable. He isnt really doing anything special the DC's are going to catch on tape and adjust to. He is pretty much protecting the ball and taking what is given to him

I misjudged Rush based on his preseason play with the 2nd, 3rd team.

He commands the first team rather well. If everyone does their job, Rush can get you through a game. In both games that Rush has won, the offensive line has done a great job for him. But that tells me it's something other than just the line. And when I look at all things going on out there, I'm seeing that they are getting rid of the ball a lot faster with Rush under center.

Whatever Dak does while he's rehabbing, he should be taking mental reps and work on making the right read and getting the ball out quicker.

I'm going to blame Moore for the first game. Yep, I said it. And I was wrong about Rush. But Dak has to take an introspective look to see what's working and what's not.

Saints fans are ripping Winston today, so Dak isn't the only one who's fanbase turned on him after playing the Bucs.
