Sounds like Dak maybe throwing without eyes on him from the outside. He maybe suited up Sunday.

It also appears they missed not using the IR designation.

I believe from Jerry’s statement after Dak’s surgery, that they was hoping that Dak could be ready for the Eagirls game, which he almost was or could still be as he hasn’t been ruled out yet. If he was IR’ed, he couldn’t have practiced this week leading up to the Eagirls.

Hey it was a gamble and I understand why as they had no idea we would have won four in a row without Dak.

IR doesn't mean he's placed in exile, and where do you think he would do his rehab? I'm just gonna say NO reason skills, and bypass basic.
lol wow! Again, there is no way an NFL team is going to IR their premier NFL QB and face of the franchise in order to keep some scrub player. Simply put, there was absolutely no reason whatsoever to IR Dak once they learned definitively that it wasn’t a season ending injury. Simple basic reasoning skills!

The original 6-8 week timeline appears on point, which would be next week at the earliest.

Why not? Putting Dak on IR means nothing. He can go to the facility, he can work with trainers, he can sit in meetings, he can be on the sidelines during games.

Your whole premise here is we couldn’t IR him because he needed to do the above. Only problem is being on IR wouldn’t have prevented him from still interacting with the team.

You are embarrassing yourself.

Fact is they could IR’d Dak, kept the 5th round prospect that they just DRAFTED to see if he turns out to be a player, and Dak wound still be in the same spot today.

IF you can’t see that at this point, then you can continue to listen to those voices in your head.

In other words, still not medically cleared to practice. If he was, he'd participate. The original 6-8 week timeline appears on point, which would be next week at the earliest.
Jerry usually trumps medical professionals.

What incentive is there for IR ing him… none!

Wouldn’t have been able to attend games and help Rush, which is right where you want him… simple basic reasoning skills!

Which is wrong.

He can be on the sideline. He just is not allowed to practice with the team or play in games.

There was. They could have protected a roster spot for a few more weeks giving them options.

You got caught making spreading some BS here essentially claiming they couldn't IR him because they wanted him to participate with the team - be at the facility, practice, on sidelines during games. After learning that being on IR didn't prevent those things, you are now scrambling to come up with some other bizarre justification.

They messed up not putting Dak on IR. They overestimated how quickly he would be back (and typical failure on Jerry's part) and they exposed a guy they wanted on the PS when they didn't have to if they used the rules properly.

Jerry & Co. will not allow Dak to play against Philly and risk their 'franchise' QB. The issue is if Rush leads Dallas to another win then you have a back-up QB that won 5 in a row being replaced by a divisive 'franchise' QB that will need the games against Detroit and Chicago to shake off the rust, and if Dak falters then the crap will surely start.

He is divisive? On message board maybe so, does not seem to be that way amongst the team.

Several commentators/former players are questioning if Cooper Rush should remain the starter if he beats Philly while Dak has been questioned previously so yes, he is divisive in terms of if he is the 'franchise' QB Dallas needs.
