The same OL that finished the Titians game needs to start this week and into the playoffs. Moore needs to utilize the 2 TE set and help establish the run game and play-action to control TOP. This will give the defense extra stamina to stop the run and finish off pressures into sacks.

For some reason I don't want Conner anywhere in the starting line up. Our best OL group would have him on the sidelines.

That means more strength up the middle for us. And we all know how Moore loves to run up the middle.

agreed. more than any other unit on a football team success and failure of an OL is measured as a unit. one hole in the group and the whole thing falls apart, where as all other position groups a single success can determine the groups success. and the OL success comes with chemistry.....I do expect us to see more 2 TE sets as you said, but then that signals a run often and plays into defenses hand. how moore calls plays and keeps the defense on their toes is going to go a long way in helping the OL and the offense. he gets this week to practice it and figure it out

Connor M is stronger than TB. Doesn't mean he is a better Center at this point but if strength is your concern, TB is the least powerful of the "starting" group.

I remember a game about 10 years ago where we did that against the Giants and dominated the first half. TOP etc, then the OLine was gassed in the second half and we lost. Balance is the key to winning.

Connor has been stout all season long and he has same amount of whiffs & penalties as Tyler Smith.

It is a tough call for the coaches but if Biadasz is going to be back for the playoffs then why not start Farniok at C and move McGovern and Tyler Smith back to their normal positions? I am not sure Farniok is much worse than McGovern at C and it is just one game anyway. To me the real problem on the OL is still losing Steele at RT.

I just hope they can figure out a mix that could take us through the playoffs, if it means the 3 Hofer's are in, so be it, it's just 4 games, lets do it!

TB is plenty strong, he's just slow. He's not the best at climbing up to the next level. And his lateral quickness is questionable.

This is actually one of my bigger concerns about this team. It's not like plugging in a WR. The line has to function as a unit, which is hard when the pieces keep changing.

Not comparing the two, but wasn't Stepnoski the weakest player on the O-line back in the day?

  • Back in the day there was an annual "All Weightroom" team or something like that. I don't remember the exact name.
    • It might have been generated by Muscle and Fitness magazine but I don't remember that for certain either.
  • Stepnoski was always on that team as one of the NFL's strongest players.
    • He was small (6-2, 265) relative to the Cowboys other OLinemen, but not weak by any means.

They should play the lineup that they would play if Biadasz is not ready for the 1st playoff game.

Farniok has been good when he played OC in the preseason and in limited snaps during the 2021 regular season.

Farniok was ok in most of the snaps he played at LG in 2022 but he had 2 or 3 really ugly plays per game.

Oh okay, I guess I just equate size with strength for the position. Thanks!

I am surprised by Tennessee DL tossing our OLs all-day last game. Granted they were physical but even Martin struggled a bit. Both Smiths had tough time , even Peters got beat inside in the tackle position. Hence my pet peeve, our OL is a bit of finesse OL, they can get bogged down by physical all day in your face DLs . For our offense has to work we need OL to be in top form as Dak is not known for getting rid off the ball in under 3 secs and our longer plays are slow developing .
