Just a thread to post prospects you don’t see being talked about much. I’ll continue to add some, feel free to post your own

Mike Morris DE Michigan- Huge DE at 6’6 285 with a very intriguing blend of size, speed and power. Plays too tall at times and will need to work on pad level, but there’s a ton to work with. 7.5 sacks and 11 TFL when he got his shot to start as a senior



Isaiah McGuire DE Mizzu- Prototypical size at 6’4 270 with a good burst and has enough bend that you want to see out of a an edge pass rusher. 14.5 sacks and 28 TFL in his last 25 games played against an SEC schedule.



Daiyan Henley LB Wash St- Very interesting developmental prospect at LB/S. Started his career as a WR at Nevada before bulking up to 6’2 230 to play LB. Extremely athletic player with a nose for the ball and not afraid to fire downhill and punish the ball carrier. Needs development time to learn the nuances of playing in the box and filling running lanes, but you can see traits of a 3 down LB/S that can do a bit of everything including blitzing and coverage (the Kearse role). 106 tackles, 12 TFL, 4 sacks, 1 INT, and 3 FF his senior year.



Davis Allen TE Clemson- Big TE at 6’6 250 that is a smooth athlete with a big catch radius and strong hands. Very solid and willing blocker as well.


Sean Tucker RB Syracuse- 5’10 205 with blazing track speed. May never be the bell cow #1 RB, but has the makings of valuable change of pace back. Home run speed with the ability to take it to the house and dangerous in space. Needs to improve pass blocking, but does show good hands to be a threat as a pass catching RB. 3,000 total yards and 27 TD’s in his Jr and Sr year.



Tucker Kraft TE S Dakota St- Another big smooth athlete with a big catch radius and ability to stretch the middle of the field. Very easy comparison to Dallas Goedert as the next TE from S Dakota St.

Trey Palmer WR Nebraska- Very highly touted 4 star recruit that was also a track champion in HS. Committed to LSU and was a return specialist (Punt and Kick return TD), while contributing modestly as a 4th WR in a very talented WR room. Transferred to Nebraska and broke out with 71 catches for 1043 yards and 9 TD’s. Solid size at 6’1 190, good hands, and speed to be a threat for a deep ball on every play…evidence is his 14.7 yards per catch.

Like ALL of those prospects. Tucker Kraft looks VERY similar to Goedert when he was coming out. Sean Rucker represents the new-age RB was a bell cow in college, but has the ability to be a backfield chess piece due to his 3 down ability (other than obviously needing to get better at pass pro).

Kraft might be the 2nd best balanced TE as he can also block inline. I think that is a must for a Cowboy TE.

I like Tucker, but they put a lot of mileage on him at Syracuse.

nice list. many of whom maybe available in middle rounds where we have a lot more picks.
 
Sydney Brown FS Illinois- 5’10 205 FS with 4.4 track speed. Great instincts and ball skills often reading the QB and making a play on the ball in the air. 5 year starter with experience playing a variety of spots on D from single high to slot CB, also played special teams. Would like him to be slightly bigger and stronger, but at worst he looks like a very good sun package S with coverage skills.
 
Jordan Battle S Alabama- Saw action as a freshman at Bama and was a starter for 3 years and team leader. Versatile S that played SS, FS, and nickel CB…good in coverage and run support. 6’1 205 fluid athlete.


Parker Washington WR Penn State- WR built like a RB at 5’11 205…and also runs like 1 with the ball in his hands. Dynamic athlete with speed and power to break tackles. Great hands with the ability to make tough catches away from his body and high point the ball. Doesn’t have elite college stats, but looks to have all the tools you look for in a WR. Also a threat as a return man

if only we knew what kind of receiver he could morph into. we dont need 1000 yards like kelce every year, we need a dependable tight end that can move the chains and answer the call in the red zone.

tightend is such an odd position to me. jason witten came in as a pretty athletic guy, but made his career on always being open on 3rd and 3. you would think more guys could carve out a niche doing just that.

i said all that to say that washington is a mismatch. not like pitts or waller, or these more athletic tightends...but maybe like gronk or a (much?) less athletic jimmy graham? if you are 6ft7 and 280 lbs youre a mismatch and are arguably always open if you have strong hands and use your body right.


in my mind washingtons floor is mercedes lewis.

Yes, I see Mercedes Lewis in Washington as well, but don't think he will ever become an elite receiver at the position, just too slow in and out of his breaks. This league has become all about quickly separation and Dak would have to throw the ball into tight coverage with him. Don't get me wrong, drafting Washington has it's advantages as well, mainly as an inline blocker, he can help the run game in a hurry. I prefer one of those pass catching TE's who force teams to use a corner against, this opens up the rest of the offense.

No DT's which is the real need?
 
Glad to see someone else likes Trey Palmer. Jordan Battle and Parker Washington are guys I like, too.

By the way, nice group of prospects there.

Trying to post guys I haven’t seen talked about much. I think most of the DT’s have been talked about because of the fact that it’s always a need. Jalen Carter is going top 5, Bryan Breese is likely top 30…and then you’ve got Siaki Ika, Mazi Smith, Gervon Dexter, Keeanu Benton, Zacch Pickens, and Calijah Kancey as the consensus next 6 that could go anywhere from early 2nd-early 4th depending where you look.

Karl Brooks and Dante Stills both got some talk in the Senior Bowl thread. Intriguing skill set as pass rushers, but definitely flawed.

I still have to check out Jaquelin Roy from LSU, he’s on my radar soon.

Not going to pretend to have watched everyone so there could definitely be some gems out there, but as far as true DT’s I’m not sure there’s a ton of options in this draft if you’re looking for someone to contribute right away. We might have to pull the trigger in the 2nd or miss out.
 
Jonathan Mingo. Big, strong, smooth and explosive WR. Reminds me a bit of AJ Brown with his build and play style.

Anxious to see how he works out.

  • His motor is excellent, and he’s quick to locate the ball and make plays against the run.
  • Made Bruce Feldman's Freak's List - ranked #20. He wrote "White was a devastating player for Old Dominion in 2019, making 19 TFLs. He was 265 then. He transferred to Tech, but then suffered an ankle injury that sidelined him. He’s now 6-4, 290, and primed to be a problem for ACC teams. White has hit 21 mph despite being almost 300 pounds. He also has vertical-jumped 32 inches and done 38 reps of 225 on the bench press."
  • White has decent enough flexibility to bend the edge, and White shows a good closing burst.

Now, he does have some weaknesses but he does flash some talent that may be intriguing to teams. I've seen multiple sites call him a day 2 player.
He's a bit raw and will be on the older side(24) for a draftee. It's been hard to watch GT under Collins but White was someone I saw make some plays last year.
