You're right brother. It's embarrassing, but these players know what they are risking. I guess they were doing some dirty work with the hope the entertained player would be willing to lower his cost and make a fair deal with Jerry and the Cowboys. If anything, OBJ is the one who lost out.

Personally I didn't have a problem with it. It seems that's what teams used to do with free agents for many years anyway. Perhaps Jerry thought by showing him a good time he would want to come for less $$$?

The only thing I didn't enjoy about the recruiting was all the talk Jerry made about his desire to sign him. That was already clear just through the visit.

That was all for show because it was in season and Booger knew he could get a few more mentions from the talking heads. Beckham is one of the NFL lightning rods for attention and Bogger wanted to grab onto that.

In the off season, they didn't even go to his workouts after being so interested. They used the excuse as a lack of seeing a workout not to sign him.
