If we cover all bases before the draft, do we just draft for depth?

Good thing they still have a gaping hole at TE

This to me has 2009 draft all over it. I love the fact that we can go in with no major glaring needs, but I don't want us to get guys who won't play much this season. Please give me your thoughts
No, we could use upgrades to start at DT, OG, RB, TE

I think the best practice is to fill all your gaps in free agency then draft BP with a focus on areas of weakness. The Cowboys still have a glaring weakness at DT, but that is not a position where you can expect to get value picking 26th. I think they take the best player available on the board or trade down - or up.
Will take a good Guard that slips all day at 26.

Backups

Dedicate the draft to backups like we did a few years back because it worked out so well

This is what they have done for several years now. Plug all the "needs" so they can look at the 2-3 players with similar grades and take who will help the team for years.

For example: There isn't a long term starting RB on the roster right now. Look for them to draft a guy who can split carries this year maybe more next year. or look at CB. They will need to extend diggs, joseph and wright haven't earned 2nd contracts yet so maybe they draft a guy.

I guess I am confused. Kincaid seems to have great hands. But he ain't crap on blocking. And isn't that the whine about most TE's on this team. They couldn't block an artery with a double cheeseburger injected straight into the heart.

To the OP, the reason you have soooooooo many people shouting BPA at you is because a smart team NEVER EEEEEEVER drafts with just one season in mind. They are drafting for both the present and the future. Teams should always be building/rebuilding their future base. It amazes me how many fans don't seem to get that.
