The story they can’t get straight is their rhetoric after the season is always bs and far different from their actions like the examples that were stated in the post. My post reflected my frustration with the crap they tell us to soften the blow from another crappy ending. That crap is never real, and rarely in concert with what they actually do and say once they start selling hope again. Appreciate the reply.

McCarthy's last 2 years in Green Bay

2017 - 27th in rushing attempts
2018 - 32nd (dead last) in rushing attempts

I'm sure it was Kellen Moore's fault or something like that.
This shouldn't be a surprise.........with Rodgers as his QB

What's funny is he talks about having to evolve with the game when he breaks down Deuce but in the Schoonmaker breakdown he says the TEs they look for are mostly a lost art in this day and age of space players.

Which is it, Will? Or are you just full of ****?
Always *****ing. Always whining.

Makes sense.

I would’ve drafted Murphy in the 1st and let him play that role and targeted my DT later.
Keeanu Benton went at 49 and Gervon Dexter went at 53. You would have ended up with a whole lot of nothing at the dtackle position.
Okay. Tell me about the time in your world when Will McClay was outstanding.
They have built an outstanding roster through the draft over the last several years which gave them the team that they have today and 25 wins over the last 2 years

Exactly. You have nothing because there is nothing. The team isn't any more successful now that it was before him. You're merely trying to deflect from the fact this fraud completely contradicted himself when breaking down the picks.

They loved Schoonmaker and feel fortunate that after the run on TEs . . He was still there and jumped at the chance to add him to the team
If they truly feel fortunate he was here at 58 its only because they don't have the slightest clue of value. Nobody was taking Schoonmaker before that. He was a 3rd round pick at best.

But these are the guys who panicked and traded away next year's 5th because they just weren't sure Eric Scott Jr. would be there at 212.

He would have been there at 312.

Actually one of the UDFAs they brought in I believe I read was actually ranked about 100 spots ahead of Scott. But dont worry, Scott is supposedly a special teams demon which is where all over drafted corners go die.

Nobody has a clue how teams have players ranked. Some here think that all the teams draft from the consensus boards.

And what do you want the Cowboys to say?
We drafted Schoonmaker but we would have preferred other options.
Overshown has some pretty good moves but he is a little light in the pants.

Some people on this board would like the Cowboys to @$%& on their new players before they put on the uniform.
I’m guessing CZ doesn’t have a lot of folks employed as people leaders.

This will be the 3rd year in a row with double digit wins. Tell me in your world when was the last time that they did this?

Schoonmaker would have been long gone by pick 58. They sure didn't look panicked. They wanted to cash in with an extra pick this year and they probably knew that somebody was going to snag Scott.

I agree. Seattle is a team that really wants to run the ball because it has invested in some nice backs over the course of two drafts, including this one.

McCarthy talked about it this off-season, but only drafting fid-midget Deuce Vaughn to team with a recovering-from-injury Tony Pollard?

Jerry still has Zeke on speed dial. Laying points on Zeke returning to the Cowboys next season.
That's the truth, even after drafting drafting walker last year they picked up two more this year with Charbonnet and McIntosh.

Probably not a popular take but I’m glad I’m not the only one that doesn’t think McClay deserves a throne and a crown.

He’s an upgrade from the previous regime but that was pretty low bar.

Paired with everything I’ve read about MMs O in GB was 11 personnel heavy.
Yeah, spot on.
The whole offseason mantra of run the damn ball and rest the defense directly contradicts his offensive coaching history.
It sounds good in press conferences and gave a fake reason to fire Moore though.
