It's even worse now with all of the practice rules. Back in the 80s all that didn't exist. Now you get most of your practice in games.

It's week 3 of his rookie season.

I know McClay sold the rest of the staff he could be a year 1 player but he was a traits pick IMO.

Jalen Carter was the best player in the draft....80 to 90% of evaluators agreed.

Mazi and Schoon weren't "wasted picks" ...they were just players taken an entire round (mazi) or a couple rounds (schoon) higher than they should have been. Very few people had Mazi as a 1st rounder....e vept Jerruah and his idiot son.

So, not sure how Mazi was the issue yesterday when the bulk of the Cards rushing yards were off tackle/outside. Most of the runs up the gut were contained (longest run up the middle was 12 yards vs. at LEAST4 of 20+ from the outside the tackle runs).

Well fine. Then the GM needs to bring in free agents to fill the hole in the middle until our rookie DT figures it out……. But he didn’t. The Jones boys manage by wishful thinking. New year same old problem.
