If Jackson Powers-Johnson is available, I think they should take him. Then I would go with Payton Wilson in the 2nd and running back in the 3rd. I feel that Wilson is worth the injury risk. He has been healthy for 2 years. I feel there will be some good running backs to chose from in the 3rd.

If Powers-Johnson is gone. A trade back would be good. They could have Frazier from West Virginia, Nubin the safety from Minnesota, and Sweat from Texas as potential targets and have the extra pick to help them snag Wilson, and their running back, and another player.

All solid picks/ideas.

I know we have been bitten before by injuries but Payton Wilson at 56 coming off a 12-game season is a completely different story than Jaylon Smith at 34 coming off a catastrophic injury.

Someone is going to take that pressure off Dallas and take Wilson before 56 though. He's too good and too many teams need a LB, especially ones with the size/speed that Wilson offers.

I think the trade back is looking really good. There is no telling what they could end up with. The top 55 is looking really good.

Cover your big needs in FA and take the best player at 24.

You could make a case for T, C, DE, LB, CB and WR.

Don’t be cute, just draft the blinking light.

So, you sit there and take a receiver like Coleman or Franklin when you could trade back and get Frazier and a receiver that falls like the 2 above and others.

Depends on who’s available…I don’t like Coleman but if Franklin is available I’m fine taking him at 24.

Available
27 Graham Barton
28 Keon Coleman
29 Kool-aid McKinstry
32 Jordan Morgan
33 T'Vondre Sweat
34 Ladd McConkey
35 Adonai Mitchel
36 Zach Frazier
40 Troy Franklin
41 Tyler Nubin
42 Edgerrin Cooper
45 Roman Wilson
46 Xavier Worthy
49 Malachi Corley
54 Ja'Lynn Polk

A lot of good talent there between 24 and 54. A trade back that nets one of Frazier, Nubin, or Sweat and say 2 of the remaining players would be outstanding.

If this is the board you take Barton. This team knows how to draft OL. Barton is a really good prospect that’s been overlooked a bit.

I’m targeting the guys that are in the 15-20 range on the consensus big board…give me whoever falls.

You already said that you would take Franklin. He isn't in the 15 to 20 range.

JJ is not a consensus top 20 pick.
He was the highest available in my simulation. I was able to trade back twice and then trade back 1 more time midway through. I went with this:

37 Zach FrazIer c Wesy Virginia
56 Ja'Lynn Polk wr Washington
59 Payton Wilson lb N C State
69 Jaylen Wright rb Tennessee
124 Maason Smith dt LSU
128 Javon Baker wr UCF
173 Mohammed Kamara edge Colorado Stae
213 Nathaniel Watson lb Miss State
231 Gabe Hall dt Baylor
242 Darin Muasau lb UCLA

How is there not a single player outside of JJ ranked higher than 27? Thats literally impossible.

You don't like me, but man I like you today!!!!!! Anyone that mentions trade back is a friend of mine, I want to get extra picks, I agree if he isn't there trade back, hopefully far enough so we get a 3rd and possibly the 4th from lance that we're missing. If it were in the 2nd i'm really considering getting sweat before he's snatched up! I want frazier as well as an option to powers

This. It’s all fun and games to mock what we want and need now but until FA we won’t know anything.
