See if you catch the key notes DeMarvion Overshown lays for one to catch about new Defensive Coordinator Mike Zimmer, his new philosophy, the change of attitude and responsibility, plus how the players are noticing how it will impact the Cowboys defense and help the players be better.

Enjoy...

We've already had threads talking about the LB alignment that Zimmer has installed. Damone at the strong side is a surprise to me. I agree we have a rookie(Marist) who may be better suited for that role but it might be too much for him now, But he'll grow into it.

You missed out on the tidbits. Several were given.
It is a 21+ minute video. Is it possible to review the video, note the specific timestamps of each tidbit, and post them in the thread for members? That way, readers have the option of skipping repetitive commentary and focus instead upon what you wish for them to hear.

I turned off the video at the 3:49 mark after the video creator repeated himself several times. That inset of Eric Kendricks jumping slightly out of sync was a little funny though.

I watched all I could stand. Kendricks said the scheme would fit the LBs more than they realized. Okay, sure. And Overshown gained weight, which is old news.

I mean, good for these YouTube stars if they can make money making videos based on offseason nothingburgers, but it's mostly worthless.

Regardless of his comments we really need him and Mazi to be difference makers in the near future......if they both don't, it just puts the rebuild that much further away.

Please watch the whole video. Good stuff pointed out throughout.

He said that he was going to play WILL and that Clark has moved to SAM. Of course, we have not been using a SAM for years.

That is the main takeaways I got.

MM had some interesting comments about Mazi's work ethic. He said they had to reign him in and that is part of the problem.

At least he doesn't sound like Irving and Gregory who were inconsistent at work.

Maybe he should post a transcript of the video. Would that make it easier for you?

Maybe he should post a transcript of the video.
It is a good idea. YouTube allows creators to insert transcripts of their videos using A.I. If available, a Show Transcript button is included in the summary beneath a video.

Would that make it easier for you?
~scrolls up & down extremely long transcript several times~

Answer: No. However, this YouTube transcript example suggest it even simpler for members, who are providing lengthy videos on CowboysZone, to post specific timestamps--especially if the intent is for other members to listen to certain ambiguous information embedded within a video.

Pretty sure that was actually Osa he was talking about there.
No, the question was about Mazi. He specifically used the term 'diligent' to describe Mazi and said he has gone above and beyond in his rehab and the classroom while getting extra work off campus as well.

Okay. The beginning when one of them asked about Osa being perennially almost an overworker who had to be reined in to not overtrain was what I was talking about. Wasn't really the same tone he had when talking about Mazi. In fact, one of the reporters asked if Mazi had improved off the field, implying that there's been a problem there.

That was what the question was loaded with sure and then there was MM's response. He described Mazi as diligent which belies that narrative.

DC will be in his natural role now at strong, depending on alignment we now have hopefully healthy LBs and a Bell already knowing his role.
One thing DQ did do was develop this back seven, and now Zim gets to play with it.
