Twitter: Quick updates on D. Law and Jourdan Lewis, and Bland - Zack Martin retiring?

Hitters don't forget they are hitters...that's how you get hit in the field. Those who know...know.

Lewis just now figured out he needs bigger pads?

Good news about DLaw. He's missed and underrated.

It's pretty clear Martin's days of being a Cowboy and a player in the NFL are very limited. Dang it.

This injury with Bland is Twilight Zone stuff. Do the docs have any idea what is going on with him? Doesn't sound like it.

Martin and Frederick and that whole run was jsut a blur.

Bland was originally hurt around the 3rd week of August, original timetable for return was 5 weeks. Then suffered a setback{?}.

I would love to bring DLaw back but Quinn is going to offer him crazy money........

At this point, they should probably just put him on IR for the rest of the season. Unless they are 100% sure without a doubt he is healthy and there is no risk of reinjury, otherwise no reason to risk it on this wasted season.

2015 that O line was destroying people. I had such hopes for 2016. Zeke would take over from Murray. I was worried about the D holding up its end.
BUT then the Great Wall did not last that long either. By 1996 it was fading. Really only four years.

In this day of the CAP and FA you cannot keep a line together for more than three years at best.

You don't want to tank the season. Sets a bad mindset for the next year. (My opinion, I know some agree and some don't, no need to rehash it)

But if a player like Bland and Lawrence legitimally have lingering injuries, it's best to put them on IR for the rest of the season, after all, what good does it do to come back when playoffs are about 95% out of the question? Chance of aggravating the injury if nothing else. Better to start on next season preparations.

Same for Martin (if he thinks he might return next year, otherwise let him play and get ready for retirement) and anybody else whose battling health issues.
The league would have no problem with that, intentionally losing games is liable to get the team penalized.

Season is done, not even a playoff appearance to show for it.

Sad...

What do you mean

If Bland wants to pull the same thing again next season he can do it somewhere else. I don't care how many interceptions he had, if he still saying his foot hurts at training camp he can pull that crap elsewhere.

This is the softest team I have ever seen in my life. How many starters have not gotten injured? The majority have been injured and have missed games. Maybe if the strength and conditioning staff were forced to pay players out of their own Pockets this crap would change.
