Cam Skattebo

Curious to see his draft stock at the combine.

I've been reading he won't test well, but his tape is impressive. Would make for a good 1-2 combo with a Pollard like back.

Marion Barber in his prime is a great comp. If he runs a good 40, 2nd to 3r rd

McCaffrey 2.0? I love this kid's grit. Can absolutely run the rock.

2nd Rd? 3rd?
man i was thinking same thing. problem is there have been a few since McCaffrey was drafted we thought were going to be awesome but non lived up to the hype.

The draft is too deep at RB. I think Scattebo can be had in the 4th round or even later. Maybe even in the same range where they got Deuce Vaughn (6th round)

Not if he tests well athletically.

Skattebo runs a slow 40. I believe in the 4.6s. That is very slow for an NFL RB.

Hard pass.

I’m not saying he will be Marshawn but that’s who he reminds me off. Can contort in so many different ways when he’s being hit and somehow keep his balance. Bull dog

I would say he has more similarities to Mike Alstott running the ball. McCaffrey isn't the truck/run you over type.

If he was close to Alstott, I'm taking him day 2, 40 be damned. lol That dude was a bowling ball that was surprisingly athletic for a mini semi truck.
I could see comparisons to Marion Barber, but admittedly there's too many RB's over the years to give a non Cowboys loose comparison.

40 time I'm not too concerned about when talking about a power back. Mainly want to see vision and acceleration(10 yard split) to get through the hole, over how fast he's running from 10-40 yards in the dash

He is a good hard runner.
I imagine he will not test as well as other RBs.

To me I think he could be a rotational back for short yardage and goal line situations.
I just do not know how long he could last if he was the bell cow back for a team with his style. Some RBs are great in college and start out ok in the NFL but when they have been run so hard it tends to make them break down faster.

This is a deep class of RB. Hopefully Little and Big enos actually pick a decent one instead of letting them pass until there are no good ones left.

I don't think you draft him to be a scat back. You draft him to be a straight ahead runner. Speed doesn't matter as much. But I would say he is a day 3 pick. I think he can be useful in the NFL. He might be a guy who can lift an entire offense with his grit and determination.

Scattebo is putting on a show against the vaunted Texas defense. Man he runs HARD, and I think may run better at the combine than yall think. He's a great back with fantastic receiving skills and I bet he's been told all his life that he's to slow, too this and not that to play with the big boys. You can see the huge heart he plays with, to be the best and to prove all the haters wrong. That's the kind of RB, the kind of football player I want on my team.
