If anyone is tough on quarterbacks via knowing the plays and being prepared it's John Gruden, the way he grilled those quarterbacks when he wasn't coaching, seeing how much they know the game was special. I think he's the kind of guy Dak needs, he won't be easy on Dak at all, and that's what Dak needs. We need to stop coddling a 10 year vet as if he's a rookie.

As far as holding Jerry accountable, there's nothing to Gruden being a coach that says he's a doormat. He'll tell Jerry off, and I could see John not making it all the years in his contract due to them being at odds over things often!

We shall see what happens, please give your thoughts

Good point. I wish they would talk to Pete Carrol and Rex Ryan also.

Well, he did get teams QB'd by Rich Gannon and Brad Johnson to the Super Bowl.

1. All players do not respond and excel with all types of coaching. Jon Gruden's approach may or may not work with Dak Prescott. Today's players are not as willingly pliable as their peers from years' past.

2. An automatic riff inside Jerry Jones' head will open the first time any coach, Gruden or whomever, 'tells him off'. He is not a puppy dog obeying a sit command. What has always been needed is a head coach who will be adamant in running the roster and coaching staff with as little interference as possible from Jones. That is the approach any new head coach, including Gruden, should take.

Dallas I can't even lie, best post of your life!! The players have changed I agree and how you coach them up, players may respond differently than they did back in the day. But I think these players will have a respect for their coach. Would it be better coming from one of these guys, or a younger coach

John Gruden is a bully, if he couldn’t make it in Oakland, he’s not going to make it anywhere that team had so much talent, please know John Gruden

If Jerry wants even more bad publicity and criticism for how he runs this team, this would be an ideal hire.
Jerry only gets bad publicity from people who want to be listened to because they know people don’t like him, and they get their following, Jerry is not as bad as everybody wants him to be made out to be.

Any player's respect, that they directed at their head coach, is automatically diluted by Jones' 'SEE ME! SEEEEEEEE ME!' daily influence. I hope you understand that.

No coach is telling Jerry off. Where this idea comes from I don't get it. You think Jerry brings Gruden back into the NFL after being sent out of the league by the commissioner and Gruden will tell him off and get his way? Not happening. He may be tough on Dak though, if Jerry lets him.

I don’t believe that. I don’t think the Jones boys are that insecure.

Dak will be a part time QB from here on out.

He will never play a full season again.

Nothing should be done from this point forward to help Dak.
There are $240 million reasons why Jerry Jones will be doing everything his unqualified football brain can think of to help Dak Prescott for the foreseeable future. Nothing wrong with an opinion but serious opinions should include some degree of realism in order to be considered reasonably.
