Sturm/PFF: Osa contract projection

Yeah and our give ups are usually because they get larger contract offers and don't seem to be worth the money. Unfortunately you have to pay based on projections for future production, and we struggle with that too often.
At the end of the day, GM Jethro does not value the position.

Sorry, I’m not understanding any of these statements.

Can you please clarify?

Thanks!
There are quite a few considerations based upon both leadership and player data. What was presented did not include a wide arena of affects and the real imput has not even been added yet.

All included here was just a projection of effect by a Dallas Star in a poor season of injury.

This point in team evaluation is based upon football principals and added up for anything more than crying stereotypes or just unknowns to be added up. Just a point in off season progressions, now.

You wanting a Reggie White and not a good player, or are what is being shown is early crying by posters. Stick to the NBA or in Vegas.
I don't believe in rewarding average players. They are in position to draft his replacement. Dallas is not a Superbowl team so we can develop a DT.

I could be wrong but it appears his pressures and QB hits rankings are escalating his value. In other words, he's not getting a lot of sacks but spends a lot of time near the QB. He would have a good market IMO........
Question is, can you draft a player who can get similar production at the fraction of the cost

Sorry, I still don’t understand.

Are you suggesting that Osa is a ‘leader’ simply because he’s been here for a few years?

Regardless, I think it’s well-established within the league that Myles Garrett is a special, uber-talented player. A rare athletic freak who was a consensus 1st overall draft pick. Everyone knew he should be, and he’s justified why he was. He’s a proven superstar difference maker.

Osa Odighizuwa is a good defensive tackle. They’re not in the same universe in terms of on-field impact. That’s not up for debate.

And I would challenge anyone who suggests otherwise to take a look at his career numbers and overall team record and rankings and tell me that those numbers are worth $20 million-plus a year.

There’s no way.

There’s no tangible evidence to support paying anything near what is mentioned. Least of all by a ‘cap-poor’ team.

We also need to keep in mind anyone playing besides Micah will have some inflated numbers. To what degree, who knows.

One way or another, if we can get another player on the Dline that commands a double team, it would be devastating for offenses.

no clue excuses...now walk us all through rebuild with your own personal biases. Talk some real football and explain without your non-stop insult.

You haven't departed from years of insult. Answer the football question presented or shut up as I didn't discuss what you instead stereotype and instead insult who talked football. Grow up, stud.

Tell us how the rebuild you support works.
you have not departed from homer city so you got no room to talk
you simply parrot that the Boys are fine and anyone questioning them is wrong
you are quite happy with the status quo which is for losers
You are fine with all the dumb contracts from Jaylons to Steele's and Dak's
now you think a bust like Lance is going to shine
you have no cred

So you are now advocating a complete rebuild of the defensive line and with age at a disadvantage. No, not my choice. DE can be very strong with healthy current players.

No, I believe in team and players more strongly.
I'd say yes, because if the way to avoid a "rebuild" of what is already a really mediocre DL is to have to overpay for a good, not great DT, then yeah, you take the rebuild.

I am struggling to understand why some of you can't get this.

Kenny Clark signed a deal last year that averages $21MM with only $18MM in guaranteed money.

I don't waste my time in dream time...training in leadership concepts leads to effectiveness. Who does better this season...SF or Dallas? Next, why your reasoning?

Play like one doesn't understand now.

Today's market place,..or make believe? Explain your rebuild then.

Who has ‘trained in leadership concepts’?

What does this mean?

What on earth does SF have to do with this conversation?

Play like one doesn't understand now.
That’s not hard. This is all over the place.

No crying if development on and before taking the field is ignored. Too bad ignoring real world facts doesn't reward pure attitude. LOL, what's to know then.

Ask Ranching about real coaching and no cry baby routines...

Considering how they haven't had much success drafting DT under normal cap numbers he might be worth keeping.
Yeah I’m torn between the same feelings. That may be the best they can do. But at the same time….im willing to take the risk and find out if we spend the money.

Tread carefully.

I’m not going to accept your “cry baby” insults and name-calling.

If you’re incapable of having a grown up conversation, you need to move on.
