And they can sign anybody they want to sign. Before yall have a heart attack, his cap the first 3 years won't be near 21mil

I hope they have plans to get someone else not just him
Capital Cowboys have to go elsewhere to find their talent!no just the commanders

The going rate, homieThis guy is a decent player , but not worth those dollars.
"We like our guys", is just one of the many flaws in this front office's team building stratagy.
He gets tons of sacks. You know sacks of cash from Jerry. SMH...What does he do well?
You suggest they let him walk and have no quality DL?13.5 sacks in 4 years from the 3-tech and weak vs the run.
Perfect loser culture. Paying mediocre play makers big money.21 million a year for a 4 year starting 3 tech that gave you 13.5 sacks and 28 TFLs while getting bullied in the run game.
Just monumentally idiotic.
Paying Osa this money means they will not do anything meaningful in FA.This move will be so bad that it would ruin the entire offseason for me. Nothing they could possibly do in free agency or the draft could make up for paying this JAG starter that kind of money.
Vet Wr, corner, big body dlThis would be a better outcome than I expected. I was ready for them to play the long game, hit him with the tag and then negotiate from there. Getting a deal done early could mean they are getting ready to actually do something in free agency??? Maybe I'm too optimistic on that one....
maybe to keep him away from Washington, and for Dallas to let us know they're doing everything they can this off season![]()
You just summed up half of your posts...It's dumb. It's asinine. It lacks any hint of intelligence. So it will happen.
Does notPaying Osa this money means they will not do anything meaningful in FA.
Haters just like to talk out of their backside. They'd be crying if he had signed with WashingtonNot really....The top DT in the league makes $34M so $20M really isnt close to top pay at the position. We will see what the numbers actually look like but if its in the low 20s its probably accurate for what OSA should get.
Also I'm not sure that $20M is as much as it sounds like these days either for a league with a cap approaching $300M
The Cowboys run game issues go way beyond their 3T, although I would agree the guy is very average at best against the run. That said though he fits like a glove in an Eberflus defense where he will be able to shoot gaps and penetrate more than have a 2 gap read/react technique.
Stopnot even a Top 20-25 DT in this league.
hE'S been a good/solid player his entire career-Color me skeptical of dudes that don’t show up until the bag is right in front of them.
Let's see:
Dak 60
Lamb 34
Diggs 21
Osa 21
Parsons 35(esti, prolly low)
That's 171 mil. Salary cap will be around 275 mil for 25.
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, that leaves 100 mil for the next 17 starters. That's 5.8 mil per player. Nope. Just, nope. That means you'll have JAGs(or worse) at at least 5-6 positions.
Won't work, has never worked, will never work.
