Signed by Cowboys Cowboys sign DT Solomon Thomas

I do admit some curiosity about Denzel Daxon, the UDFA we signed last offseason. I thought he showed something worth developing last preseason. But it's hard to say if he'll develop into anything. Same, to an extent, with Justin Rogers. I'm not expecting anything of either, but you never know.

cmon, you know how the idiot Jones construct the roster, they view the draft as the only way to pick starters in the team, they are not going to draft a third 3T especially high in the draft
After this signing, I think we'll wait until the third round to add another DT. We'll justify it because this is a deep class.

They could draft anything in the top 3 rounds.

I like this and all he needs to do is occupy blockers

If he can do that it makes the rb stutter and pick another hole and frees up rushers in the passing game

Little bit of context: it’s day 2; we have zero depth at DT; we could take more of a natural run-stopping DT in the early rounds of the draft; we also weren’t exactly excellent against the pass last year.

Despite having only had one start in 16 games, Thomas’s pass rushing numbers were not too bad: 3.5 sacks, 26 tackles, two passes defended, and one forced fumble.

So I think, given the contract, I don’t think this is a bad depth signing at all. He will probably contribute well enough.

We just need better in the draft - especially against the run.

I’m excited to announce that no matter who we sign, many of you will still find a way to be utterly disappointed. Let’s be honest: we could bring in an entire team of All-Stars, and some of you would still complain about the font on their jerseys. It’s as if you’re experiencing a severe case of Chronic Discontentment Syndrome, where even the mention of the team's name triggers eye rolls and a chorus of "same old, same old."Here’s a newsflash: optimism is not a myth! It’s a real thing, and it’s not just for fans of other teams. I know it’s hard to remember what it feels like to be excited about something, but trust me, it’s worth a try. So, here’s a challenge: take a deep breath, put down the pitchforks, and try to muster some enthusiasm. I know it’s a tall order, but I believe in you (or at least, I’m pretending to).Let’s be honest: the constant complaining is getting old. It’s like listening to my grandma complain about the neighborhood kids for hours tired, weak, and just plain boring. So how about we switch things up a bit? Let’s try something new, like… being supportive? It’s a crazy idea, I know, but just go with it.

This draft class is very deep at running back and dtackle. They could draft 2 at each position.
Again, though, it's going to matter when we take those players. We drafted two DEs in the 2019 draft (Joe Jackson in the fifth and Jalen Jelks in the seventh) and neither panned out. We drafted two DTs in the 2017 draft (Joey Ivie and Jordan Carrell, both in the seventh) and neither one sniffed the field.

I like that Thomas has a history with some of our coaches and at least gives us a veteran for the rotation.

There will be a good dtackle and running back taken by somebody in this draft in the 5th round.
Uhh because first it's a free country and 2nd I was responding to your post, by asking WHO, as in who would you like sorry to break your heart!!
