Dak's backup QB?

Please don't say Grier or a 5th-round rookie.....I don't see that at all. I don't see them drafting a QB with the first 3 picks and we don't have a 4th rounder. I do think the backup should be a young developing player......we aren't doing much if Dak goes down.

You are not going out on a limb with that assumption, given Jerry Jones' overall track record of drafting quarterbacks.

Think Rush comes back once the market lets his agent know it's weak interest.

I'd rather have Lance back than Coop.......the backup QB position going forward should be about developing more than winning IMO.

Maybe . He has games that are just gawd awful then others that makes you think he should be a starter. His play is almost bipolar.

I like Rush, but don't want him back.

This team is not built to win with him at QB right now, as the talent level is very depleted as compared to when he actually kept the team afloat.

Draft a QB with one of the 5ths and resign Lance. Sure, he will likely lose and make plenty of mistakes, but he has all the tools you can want in arm strength and athletisism...it would at least make the L's a little more exciting.

I'm fully expecting Grier to battle it out in camp with a rookie. I wouldnt be surprised at all if they looked QB in the 3rd or 4th with a trade down pick.

They did but not by choice......only after Romo's backup Kellen Moore was injured. Once they knew Romo would be out for an extended time, they did not expect Dak to start and play as well as I did. So it's not like drafted Dak ( 4th round ) with plans of him being a primary backup. In other words, it was pretty clear they didn't trust Dak ( Pason, Connors and Kellen Moore ).

6'4", 220 lbs, a pocket passer but can scramble/run with the football when needed.
