Stephen: I don't see us moving up in the draft but we could move down

I'd love for Sanders to drop and the Cowboys draft him.

I don't even like him, but I'd like it for the drama.
That would be funny.
I can see some comments now ...

Stephen ... I tried to take the card from his hand again, but he faked one way, and went the other this time. I just could not catch him ....

The need to move down to reclaim the pick Jerry threw away on Mingo. Need another pick or two to fill some holes.

I see it happening if he's there.

Jerry loves Deion and I feel like he would do this. Can you image how much attention it would bring?

It’s gonna take a perfect scenario to trade down. I think they’d probably only move down two or three picks and that’s if several guys they like at 12 are still on the board.

Moving down to the late teens or 20’s means drafting a player with a second round grade.
Rumors are Dolphins may be interested, but they re sitting there at 13. Unless any other teams are interested.
Such as the Browns and Steelers. Steelers are at 21, Browns would need to offer some pretty great picks, since they would not have any picks until the 2nd. So no way they trade with the Browns and lose a 1st round pick. Unless the Browns trade down from #2 then back up to get 12.

Just throwing some ideas out there. Some scatter shooting.

Smartest thing Stephen has said for a very long time.
But will they actually move down. If an opportunity is there, the must do it, they need a few more picks in the top 100.
Depending on who is still available, sounds great.

They successfully did this last year, btw

Last year, Dallas traded down in the 1st round

24th and a 2025 7th
for
29th and 73rd picks

So they traded the 24th pick for Tyler Guyton and Cooper Bebee

Never believe the words of Stephen Jones when it comes to pre-draft chatter. He is most assuredly embellishing the truth. By saying the Cowboys won't be trading up, you can bet they are looking into doing just that. Maybe they end up not doing it, but I doubt they trade down. Stephen's forked tongue betrays him.

They will tell us after the draft they had opportunities to move up. But felt it was not worth the price.
Making it like it was the smart thing to do.
